    The newer Apple Pencil is a fantastic improvement over the original! It has a slightly different feel, with a ridge for your fingers that I actually really like—it makes it more comfortable to hold. I also appreciate that it’s a little smaller, making it easier to use for extended periods. The biggest upgrade, though, is the charging! It magnetically connects to the iPad, which is so much more convenient, and the top slides up (but doesn’t come off completely), so there’s no tiny piece to lose like with the older version. Overall, a great design upgrade that makes using the Apple Pencil even better!

    Honestly a great pencil, however, if youre an artist that needs pressure sensitivity in your drawings you won't be using this one. I didnt so my research and this version of the apple pencil doesn't support pressure sensitivity.

    Pros: charges *so* fast, write neatly, feels natural
    Con: no pressure sensitivity

    I'm returning mine but if you’re a note taker vs an artist this is perfect for you and more affordable than a pro or a gen 1 (which still runs 100$)

    I am a student, and cannot retain information through typing. I have to write my notes down.
    The Apple Pencil allowed me to write notes on my iPad, which is handy because now all of my notes, documents, etc are all in one place. I prefer having this over a separate paper notebook and a device full of everything else.

    I am impressed with the battery life of the Apple Pencil as I use it quite often-- I have had it for almost a year and have only charged it a handful of times. On the plus side, it only takes about 30 minutes to do so, which allows me to do a small task while I'm waiting to get back to work.

    I honestly have nothing bad to say about this model of the Apple Pencil! It works great for me, and it is easy to write with. If you are someone who needs to work from an iPad or can work from one, I highly recommend it.
