Fits pretty good on my marlin 1895SBL, however the 45-70 gov rounds are a little snug but that is more than likely cause it’s new. It also doesn’t cover up a whole lot of the railing which is good if I decide to put a scope on it.

If you are concidering this for a H&R or NEF single shot rifle, its to big and does not fit well on the wood forend. (not tight enough) It will be to loose . If you have an aftermarket forend like a Choat, plastic square one it may fit much tighter.

I bought with tension to allow me to carry more rounds to the range, but when I got out there, I noticed an added benefit. It provided me a place to acquire a firmer grip on my rifle. The stock of my gun is too thin and after a while of use my hand cramps, but this neoprene gadget thickened up the fore stock, and gave me a better hold. Which is worth buying another one, which I might. I just wish it allowed rounds on both side, and needs to be wider covering more area of the forestock.
