Real Happy: Jesus’ Surprising Path to Genuine Joy Kindle Edition
Are you really happy?
When almost every human choice is made with happiness in mind, why do we continue to miss out on lasting happiness? Perhaps happiness isn’t something we pursue but rather something that ensues…What if happiness is not stuff we fill up on but something we make room for? Real happiness may not be something out there at all (material) but something in here (spiritual).
In this compelling narrative, best-selling author Mike Hayes and Dr. Jeffrey Garner journey through the eight beloved Beatitudes from Jesus’ revolutionary Sermon on the Mount. Religious and non-religious readers alike will smile and feel inspired in learning that Jesus, despite popular understandings, was in fact deeply invested in human happiness. Jesus’ happiness, however, consoles sorrow, embraces emptiness, confronts injustice, and is even present in our suffering—all that we avoid in our search for happiness. Aptly reframing the Beatitudes as happy oracles, Mike and Jeffrey share personal stories and historical insights that optimize Jesus’ happy message for a 21st century audience. This book challenges our cultural conceptions of happiness and beautifully guides the reader into Jesus’ Real Happy life.

The author's approach to the Beatitudes is both refreshing and deeply thought-provoking. Instead of simply rehashing familiar interpretations, "Real Happy" delves into the heart of these teachings, exploring their relevance and application in today's complex world. The book is beautifully written, with a style that is both accessible and engaging, making profound concepts easily understandable.
What sets "Real Happy" apart is its ability to blend spiritual depth with real-world practicality. Each chapter takes a specific Beatitude and breaks it down, showing how its wisdom can be applied to everyday challenges and situations. The author's insights are backed by real-life examples, making the teachings of the Beatitudes come alive in a way that is both relatable and inspiring.
Moreover, the book is not just a passive read; it encourages active reflection and personal growth. Through thoughtful questions and practical exercises, readers are invited to explore their own lives and find ways to integrate the Beatitudes into their daily actions and decisions.
I loved “Real Happy.” It’s more than just a book, it’s a journey into the heart of what it means to live a truly fulfilled and joyful life. It’s a must-read for anyone seeking a deeper understanding of spiritual principles and their practical application in the pursuit of genuine happiness.

REAL HAPPY is an opportunity - a road map - to discover the sublime, ecstatic, joyous, blissful, love soaked reality of our own infinite being.
REAL HAPPY teaches us that those who follow Christ need to define happiness according to Jesus. Contrary to the world that says happiness is about comfort, convenience, charisma, cash, career advancement, and the like, Jesus teaches in His sermon on the mountain that true happiness is found in godly character.
REAL HAPPY is one of those books that you will not want to put down. Like fresh manna from heaven, the book is masterfully and beautifully written. Is simply a blessing to read.
I am eager to finish reading the book! 😘
I love how the authors clearly break down scriptures I’ve known since I was young in a different way than I’ve ever been taught. Each chapter holds an opportunity to increase faith and dive into the happy character of Jesus. One of the best parts is how at the end of every section there is a declaration and prayer, which gives real and practical application. I also appreciate the real and vulnerable examples that the authors give to accompany all of their main points and scriptures.
The entire book points back to the goodness of God in every season.
If you need a boost in your faith, in your joy and a reassurance that the Lord’s heart is for you to live happily. Read this book!
This book would be great for large or small book studies, a gift to someone at any stage of life, and especially for a personal, life refining self read.
