Survival First: The Rebel Entrepreneur’s Guide to Risk, Riches and Immortality Kindle Edition
Entrepreneurship can be hell.
Most quit, scarred by financial ruin, emotional trauma and broken dreams. So how do we defy the odds and win this great bet on ourselves?
In Dante’s Renaissance-sparking Divine Comedy, Virgil guides the hero Dante through the many layers of Hell to reach paradise. Entrepreneurs, too, walk through a hellscape of risk so they may create wealth, freedom and meaning. Survival First ushers in a new Renaissance by guiding modern Dantes through this hellscape.
Survival First humanizes risk by discarding academic jargon and complex formulas for simple logic, emotional realism and the stories of ordinary entrepreneurs. Readers learn how to not merely confront risk but dance with it. Inside is the radical-yet-practical RDEE RISK formula—an eternally applicable framework for avoiding ruin and unlocking riches.
Risk. Uncertainty. Riches. These are the elements of survival. Of creation. Of immortality.
Dare to seek paradise? Come walk with me.

- Reviewed in the United States on May 2, 2024Alexander gives great homage to the everyday heroes of small businesses in his extensive study of the coin that has risk on one side and opportunity on the other. Through both personal memoirs and the stories of friends and family, he cuts through the fog of war that envelopes entrepreneurial endeavors in a way that anyone can benefit from reading about. His book is clearly the product of both extensive study and deep personal reflection, and I thoroughly enjoyed reading it.

He was able to relate risks with other concepts by giving real life business examples and how they were able to identify opportunities that goes along with risk.
It's about you - the entrepreneur - and one's risk appetite in order to be successful in your business as it involves a lot of time, money, and emotions that must be considered to overcome the challenges that goes along with it.

- Reviewed in the United States on April 15, 2024I love the perspective this author gives with Survival First! He compares starting and running your business like going through and surviving the many levels of Dante's vision of Hell. It's great because anyone who has gone through this process can totally sympathize with anyone who's building their business. Especially if its for the first time! Get your copy you won't regret having read it. I loved it!
