Introduction to Business Statistics: A Simple Stepwise Approach to Basic Statistics (Statistics and Mathematical Models for Business Book 1) [Print Replica] Kindle Edition

5.0 5.0 out of 5 stars 1 rating

This book is primarily written for individuals and managers who are learning the basics of statistics for business applications. The goal of this book is to introduce readers to the basic statistical analysis and the tools required to succeed in the world of datasets. This book covers the fundamentals of statistics, probability distributions, data analysis, and regression analysis using simple and step-wise approaches to solving problems using MS Excel tools.

This book covers descriptive and inferential statistics in eight chapters. The first two chapters introduce basic types of functions, research methods, what hypothesis testing means, different types of data, how to present data using tables and graphs, and how to describe data in numerical terms by focusing on the measures of central tendency and variability. The next three chapters introduce the reader to the world of probability calculations before crossing over to the inferential world of statistics. The inferential world of statistics allows one to enhance their decision-making skills by learning about various types of distributions, sampling, and testing options armed with the descriptive statistical tools to draw meaningful inferences. The last three chapters of the book bring everything together as they explore the nuances of relationships between two or more variables and discuss methods to identify if and how they interact with each other.
