Garron Park: From Nothing, Book 1
Audible Audiobook
– Unabridged
Garron Park, where hope dies and no one ever gets ahead. Until…
When Devon Sawyer desperately searches for his brother in the middle of the night, beaten and broken, he finds Maddox Kane instead. With his dad on his trail, he has no choice but to stand on his enemy's doorstep and let Maddox help.
Maddox has never seen Devon this vulnerable. Living in Garron's trailer park means families dole out discipline on the regular and violence is a part of life, but something about how far Jim Sawyer takes it this time has Maddox unnerved.
Rivals in motocross, work, and life itself, they're forced to work together for one night. Perspectives change and their friction morphs into something unexpected.
Hatred turns to lust.
Tensions switch from hostile to aroused.
While their competitiveness remains, their dynamic shifts. Their acceptance is anything but graceful.
Two guys who come from nothing, with very little to look forward to, find themselves craving each other in new and fiery ways.
Reluctantly.
Garron Park is book one in the From Nothing series. They must be listened to in order. It is an MM romance with explicit spicy times, foul language, and two main guys who are pretty down on their luck.

- Reviewed in the United States on December 17, 2023I know weird right? Rating something four stars when it wasn’t my cup of tea. However, it is well written. It had content warnings and those were accurate so no nasty surprises. The two main characters just irritated me for the entire book. I do not understand wanting to beat someone up that badly. I get primal play and liking to hurt and be hurt, but this was a lot of damage with very little proper medical care and the entire deal with the loan shark and the cops just felt too easy. I mean one of the guys was stabbed and then stitched up by another non medical person. I’m not saying it takes a medical degree to suture someone but yikes, penetrating stab wounds usually require more care than just suture and pray you don’t die. Also, for a book about two motor-cross bikers who hate each other there was very little actual racing, and since this isn’t a sport I follow some terms and places didn’t make sense to me. A Little more description would be nice, and helpful to set the scene especially since I’ve never even watched that kind of bike race (super bikes yes, motor-cross no). Honestly my two favorite characters were not the M and N but their brothers. Those two I liked. They were funny, snarky, grounded in reality and didn’t come off as whiny teens line our two twenty something main characters. Overall it was in interesting different book about types of characters i don’t normally read.

- Reviewed in the United States on February 1, 2024I have many things to say about this book BUT I don't want to spoil it so I can't tell you! 🤪
To start off, the writing was fantastic. The author did a wonderful job of telling the story and making it interesting.
I really enjoyed the storyline. I thought it was fantastic. The major plot points were well done and there wasn't a lot of unimportant filler in-between. I liked that.
The characters were well written, but they didn't have as much character growth as I would have liked. Definitely a me thing I'm sure. There is more to their story (and yes I will be reading it) so maybe that's where more of their development happens?
Lastly, what made me give the lower star rating was spoilery stuff. So I want to make sure I mention that while there were things I didn't like, overall I thought it was a good book and I'd recommend it. Just check the trigger warnings to be sure it's for you.

- Reviewed in the United States on April 15, 2024What do you get when you take two hot-headed, competitive motocross riders? Maddox and Devon in a volatile, angsty relationship that instantly hooked me and I devoured!
Now this is not a book to base anything healthy on because these two have a love language of physical touch in the form of beating the crap out of each other and constantly trying to one-up the other.
Maddox never thought he’d be falling for a guy, much less his sworn enemy. When Devon gets beat within an inch of his life, Maddox is there to mend him up while Devon is fighting tooth and nail to not have him help. I loved their banter, the way they fight and spew insults, yet how they can’t stay apart.
After some forced proximity, they are able to learn about each other and share in new experiences together as a couple. They really do have a swoony relationship because even though they are wanting to hate and beat each other up every other page between making out, when they allow their emotions to come to the surface and get voiced, they really care deeply for one another.
Maddox is a quiet, yet more aggressive man than Devon and normally is the dominant one, yet Devon has the capability to make him weak in the knees and be submissive. I love how they alternate roles to be what the other needs in that moment.
Maddox and Devon have a shared upbringing with crappy parents, poverty, and feeling like they are nothing but trash, but have each other to push and challenge every step of the way. I loved the growth of their relationship over the course of the book. They don’t want to put a label on what they have, all they know is they can’t be without the other. Maddox and Devon mention multiple times how they are each other’s constant and I loved seeing how this played out. No matter what got thrown at them, they had each other’s back.
I can’t wait for the next part in their story (instantly starts Lot 62)!
- Reviewed in the United States on October 29, 2024wow. this is my first nordika night book. i’ve seen it EVERYWHERE, and finally have in, because dirty boys on dirt bikes 🥵😏🫠😮💨 amirite? and my god i am furious at myself for not discovering this author the moment she published her first book BECAUSE HOW HAVE I BEEN MISSING THIS GORGEOUS WRITING. devon and maddox stole my heart immediately. like, right from page one. i loved everything about their world, from the dirt bike races, to the trailer park culture, to the way devon and maddox found their functional dysfunctional love. it’s just so absolutely beautiful the way nordika night can write some of the MOST DELICIOUS spice i’ve ever read, but still have this thread of love woven throughout it, even before the two of them knew they were falling for each other. i loved this book so much i devoured the other two book in the series just as greedily, and now i’ll be working my way through all of her other books if you need me…

5.0 out of 5 stars Consumed My Life
♾️
🌶🌶🌶.75
I have no words for this book it consumed my life. I loved every minute of reading Maddox and Devon's chaotic love story. This was one of the best rivals to lovers I've read in a long time. The writing was beautiful, the plot was fast-paced, the characters were complex, and I had me hooked after the first chapter.
Their life was not easy, taking care of their moms, while their dads took all their money, leaving them both in an endless cycle of poverty in their trailer park. From a young age, Devon and Maddox were rivals in motocross, girlfriends, and life in general. The tension between them was always high and, more often than not, ended in a fist fight.
Until one night when Devon ended up at Maddox's trailer, desperately searching for his brother while his dad was after him. Maddox had never seen Devon so vulnerable before. So, for one night,Maddox and Devon set aside their rivalry (to the best of their ability) and worked together. One night changed everything.
As Devon and Maddox' dynamic changed into attraction, they both still ended up in yelling matches and fist fights. Some people say toxic, I say, passionate. Their love was fierce, and their love language was fighting. It was chaotically beautiful and true to them. They slowly brought out the best of each other. Maddox was fiercely protective of Devon despite Devon's protest at times.
I loved the sibiling dynamic between Devon and Nate, and Maddox and Javi. Through all the struggles of their lives, the one constant were their older brothers. Who are also best friends.
The tension between Dev and Madd was palpable, which led to some great spice. The spice was perfectly done and did not overtake the plot. The spice was all different and not repetitive, which was nice.
If you love MM and rivals to lovers, you need to read this book. I've already started Lot 62 🖤
MM rivals to still-rivals-but-also-lovers
One bed
Touch him and ☠️
You're mine
The spice was spicing
Lots of hand necklaces

5.0 out of 5 stars ✍️ REVIEW ✍️ “GARRON PARK” NORDIKA NIGHT ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.5/5 🌶️🌶️🌶️/5
Quella notte cambia tutto.
