Going to compare this to the case that comes with the deck since everyone gets that one automatically and you might be on the fence like I was. Ok here we go.
This case is pretty sturdy. It is not as sturdy as the valve one. I would probably give this a B+ in comparison to valves A+. It's not bad at all, just not as good. With that being said I am not worried about my deck having a fall (god forbid) in this case.
Size is surprisingly compact for what I was able to put in it. First off it fits the deck comfortably with a nice firm hug, but not too firm as I am still able to pull it out of this case easily. I do not worry about this sliding around in this case at all.
I was able to fit a Bluetooth mouse, a large battery power supply, and the charger for the deck in the pouch no problem and there is still room for more.
Travel, no doubt this case would win that comparison between the 2, that's why I bought it and I'm glad I did.
Verdict: it's worth the buy. If you are buying it for travel like I did then you will be set.

Might have to reconsider if you're looking to carry a bit more accessories inside the case.
I constantly travel for work as Flight Crew and wanted to see what options there were for Steam Deck cases with inner compartments, as I'm not a fan of the stock case's strap and hole option. My personal add-ons for this device case is a 45W Charging block, double end USB-C cable, HDMI port and the HDMI cable. Would like to add a *little* bit more but that wasn't going to be an option here.I've added an image how I was able to get those accessories in the case in this review. It fits, but with a caveat - the Deck's joysticks click down when closed and zipped shut. Which I'm not comfortable with it doing on a long term basis. Compared to the stock case's button holes, they're not as wide or shallow. If I removed my HDMI port and cable then it should be fine (without the joystick clicking) but at that point I might as well just keep using the stock case provided.It's other feature is a built in stand with a netted pocket. Which could fit an SD card or thin headphones. The stand is a nice option but, reverberate other comments it does block the Deck's vent.Would I recommend this? Yes - if you're not going to carry too much additional accessories and you're looking for an inner compartment case that'll hold the charger and another small accessory, go for it. If you're looking to keep more of your Deck's accessories together in one convenient and secure spot, maybe look elsewhere.

Designed for traveling! This handy Steam deck compatible carrying case has paid for itself ten times over. Provides superior protection. I never knew how disorganized my kids games were until I bought this for my sons Steam. It has an extra compartment for his charger and also for a couple extra games. The case is quite roomy. The zipper glides continually smoothly. It’s also impressively sturdy and also water resistant; so if you’re caught in the rain and accidentally drop it in a puddle, no problem.
I also love the soft silicone handle; not a detail overlooked. The quality totally surpassed my expectations for the price. An amazing value. I would buy it again.

I have been on the lookout for a carry case which can hold a hori split pad pro that can remain connected to the switch + space for other accessories such as a spare controller and OG power adapter. I noticed a side by side comparison of a steam deck and the Nintendo switch hori controllers look very similar, so I decided to give it a go. This fits the hori switch perfectly and has enough room for extra accessories. I don’t see any pressure or wiggle room for the switch and seems to hold it firmly in place. Very happy with the quality. I have also ordered a steam deck and will likely reuse this so I can have a holder for the steam deck power adapter as this seems flimsy on the OG carry case (I speculate it may just fall out from the back). Thanks for a great product! Suggestion to the Amazon store owner to market this case as a Nintendo switch hori case. Thank you!

Mi serviva una borsa che mi permettesse di trasportare la console steam deck a cui tengo particolarmente nei miei numerosi viaggi. È di ottima qualità, con diversi compartimenti interni che consentono di riporre anche altri accessori come cuffie wireless, alimentatore. Il lembo in velcro consente di mantenere stabili gli oggetti all'interno. È presente una tasca a rete e una slot per inserimento di schede SD di ricambio. Internamente è rivestito in velluto e all'esterno è in un materiale nero idrorepellente e antigraffio che sembra sufficientemente robusto da poter proteggere da urti e cadute.
