Great budget commercial slicer but lacks long-term support
I was searching for a gift for my parents and stumbled upon this product. We love doing hot pot and always have prosciutto, salami, and other sausages around, so I thought it would be a perfect buy.If you’re new to using this kind of machine, be super careful with the blade. I’d suggest only wearing a cut-resistant glove when cleaning. The two screws that hold the sharpener stone in place and the curious screw in the middle of the blade make it really easy to take apart.The slicer’s performance is surprisingly good. I managed to cut some slightly frozen meat with it. I made a few thin slices of pork belly for hot pot and thicker cuts for BBQ. However, the thicker cuts were a bit of a struggle, which I guess is because the blade wasn’t sharpened before use. Another issue I noticed with the thicker cuts was the blade wobbling a bit as it struggled. I’m not sure if that’s normal since this is my first experience with a deli meat slicer.If you’re on the look for a budget-friendly “commercial” meat slicer, then this is a good purchase. But for long-term use? Probably not. They don’t offer any replacement parts for any components. I confirmed this with their customer service and was pretty disappointed. This machine will be useless if anything goes wrong after the warranty. I’m definitely sending this back because it’s a major issue.If you’re in Canada, I’d suggest spending an extra $100-$200 for a Canadian brand that provides replacement parts and likely has a better build quality.

    Bought this to make lunches cheaper for a large family of eight. Has had pretty constant use since purchase and has been running very well. Read the manual. Also you may need to tighten the two 10mm nuts under the platform as it has some swivel which causes slices to be uneven and may even bind at the bottom. Once the platform is square to the blade she has made consistently perfect cuts, even down to shaving. Very sturdy, is hefty so put it on sonething stable. Super easy to clean. Haven used the sharpener yet so will update at tgat time.

    This slicer really sucks now that I've gotten the chance to try it it makes a lot of noise there's some sort of machine grease on the blade when I got it out of the box it smells like the motor's gonna burn out when I do the smallest cut of meat on it it does not spin very fast at all which is very odd and it's definitely not worth the price if I could get a refund without having to send it back I would I only say that because there's no point of sending trash in the mail. I thought because of the name brand that it was Vevor That it would be a decent machine to use for cutting deli meat for my son for his lunches but it's really not do not waste your money or your time i'm very disappointed with this company i've used this company a lot over the past 25 years being a chef but this product right here made me very disappointed in the company because they usually make and produce very quality products and this is not a quality product it really sucks next time I cut meat with it which might be the last time because it might blow up I'll post a picture of what it does to the meat it just destroys it it doesn't even really cut it properly it does cut it but it makes a big mess

    I bought the cheaper slicer first for half the price when I should have just spent the money on this one. This shaves everything nice and thin. It does take time to clean so if you can slice everything you can on the same day. Then you only have the wash it once. I love the built in sharpener. Do yourself a favor buy this one not the cheap ones.

    Great budget commercial slicer but lacks long-term support

    I was searching for a gift for my parents and stumbled upon this product. We love doing hot pot and always have prosciutto, salami, and other sausages around, so I thought it would be a perfect buy.

    If you’re new to using this kind of machine, be super careful with the blade. I’d suggest only wearing a cut-resistant glove when cleaning. The two screws that hold the sharpener stone in place and the curious screw in the middle of the blade make it really easy to take apart.

    The slicer’s performance is surprisingly good. I managed to cut some slightly frozen meat with it. I made a few thin slices of pork belly for hot pot and thicker cuts for BBQ. However, the thicker cuts were a bit of a struggle, which I guess is because the blade wasn’t sharpened before use. Another issue I noticed with the thicker cuts was the blade wobbling a bit as it struggled. I’m not sure if that’s normal since this is my first experience with a deli meat slicer.

    If you’re on the look for a budget-friendly “commercial” meat slicer, then this is a good purchase. But for long-term use? Probably not. They don’t offer any replacement parts for any components. I confirmed this with their customer service and was pretty disappointed. This machine will be useless if anything goes wrong after the warranty. I’m definitely sending this back because it’s a major issue.

    This was my first time using this slicer. While it has two handles for added stability, I found them slightly cumbersome. Slicing frozen meat was challenging, as the slicer struggled to cut through effectively. Additionally, the bottom lacks a strong grip, which made the slicer less stable during use

    I bought this unit for my Adult Son who asked me to post his review for this unit:

    I rarely give reviews, and when I do my feedback tends to be completely negative. Having said that, I cannot give this unit Higher praise. I researched over 200 different makes and models before I settled on this unit and I am very glad I picked it.

    First let me say that I saw many complaints that this unit was a pain in the butt to clean. It probably has something to do with the fact that it's a Meat Slicer, and not a Toaster. I would be surprised to find any Meat Slicer that IS easy to clean, but as far as these types of devices go, this one is actually easier than most. The spin knob on the front of the slicing arm makes it easy to remove (Unlike a sample model of a different brand I saw on display at Costco, but more on that later). Yes, you need allen wrenches (Not Included) to remove and wash the blade (heavy and SHARP!). I found an old set that I rarely use and just keep it with the unit. Once I get the blade off, yes, there are little bits of meat all over. Again, it's a MEAT SLICER! If you don't expect to spend 20 minutes cleaning it up when you're done, I'm sorry but your expectations are just wrong for this kind of device.

    I have found the overall quality and use of this unit to be excellent so far. I primarily bought it to make my own lower salt lunch meats, and I have sliced (thin) tri-tip, pork roast and roast turkey. The slices are perfect and consistent every single slice, either thick slices, or so thin you can almost read through them. The unit has an adjustable support to keep the slicing tray perfectly level while you slice. The blade is not the largest available, but more than sufficient for anything a home user could want. The safety features are very good for this type of unit, and make it virtually impossible to cut anyone as long as best practices are used.

    The build quality of this is great, Mostly real metal, barely any plastic.

    The built in sharpener takes some getting used to, but I had it working in no time and it sharpens well.

    Earlier I was referring to an experience I had at Costco the other day when I saw their equivalent unit, which cost almost $1,000. While it did have a slightly larger blade, the movement of the sliding slicing tray was jerky and odd compared to the wonderfully smooth motion of this unit. The build quality was a lot of plastic and seemed way flimsier. It also didn't have the ability to remove the slicing arm to clean, which is just the twist of a knob on this one. I have to say that seeing that model in their store is what inspired this review. This unit is well worth the price.
