    Update after a couple of months. build out of cheap soft metal. It blade is made of steal the internal mech out of some aluminum alloy. it lost connection. Garbage . Don't buy it. !!!!!!!

    The description of the grinder states that there are plastic pads to protect the counter surface from damage when attaching and using the tool. There were NO PLASTIC PADS included with the grinder.
    I knew by the price of the item that it probably wouldn't be top notch, but I did expect to receive all the parts listed.
    I hate returning ordered products so I will make do with it and use a dish towel to hopefully protect the surface where I attach the grinder.

    This was a huge disappointment. It arrived with reassuring weight, but called-upon to actually grind meat - it was a mess. The spiral main core did drive things onward - but the final "blades" could barely chop lettuce. And the flimsy "exit-face" was too weak to strain pasta. I tried it once - and it did turn some pork into mush - but only if/as I kept grinding. Almost nothing came out the end, before it was hopelessly clogged. After one try - I cleaned the thing, put the parts back in box, and threw it in the dumpster.
    It "looks" real, and weighs "real" - but it's a piece of... stuff worth flushing. (Cheers)

    What a dud! Grinder took months to arrive. No plastic pads were included to protect my counter surface and the grinder didn't fit on the edge of my granite counter. I rigged it onto a sturdy wooden cutting board only to discover that the beef cubes I fed into the grinder all got clogged up in the mechanism and nothing came out! Upon opening up the grinder, I saw the pieces of beef were turning to mush instead of the ground beef 'strings' the screen was supposed to produce and nothing was being pushed out through the screen. After trying over and over for a half hour I finally gave up (and used my food processor to make the ground beef). I disassembled the grinder, washed it with warm soapy water and couldn't believe my eyes when the metal pieces dried. The blade and heavy metal screen had turned a solid rust colour (see photos), the wooden handle's finished had come off in spots and the wood had cracked on one side. The metal 'finish' had chipped off and darkened in colour in some places, making the grinder look like it was 20 years old.
