- Reviewed in the United States on December 24, 2016Size: Small (Pack of 1)Verified Purchase*UPDATE: 7 yrs and an additional dog (an Enlish Bull Terrier) later and these things are still going strong! Our Bull Terrier left some minor teeth marks on the toys from when he was younger and teething. But the toys have remained in tact... no dangerous parts broke off. (We've had 2 costly emergency visits to a Veterinary Hospital because my Chihuahuas quickly ate thru other flimsy toys and one ended up with his bowels impacted.)
We love these things! And the brand has earned my trust. My dogs would spend hours messing with these things when they were puppies. They quickly learned how to knock the food/treats out. But we just made it harder by breaking up large, hard treats into odd shapes that were difficult to fall out. All three of our dogs are at least 7 yrs old now. They still get excited when we bust these toys out. (We had to buy a third one since they started to fight over who gets to take the next swipe.) It's still fun watching all 3 dogs nudge and swipe these toys across the room, sometime launching them at each other. It's like watching dogs playing hockey, rushing for Easter eggs, and playing roller derby all at once. (Not quite as chaotic or violent as it sounds though.)
One of our Chihuahuas turned out to be a bottomless pit who devours his food in less than a minute. He chewed thru all complicated food bowls we tried. And if we make it too hard for him to get to his meals quick enough, he ends up trying to fight with the other dogs for theirs. (Despite his size, the larger dog usually backs down and lets him eat his food... which is about 4-5 times the amount the Chi should be getting.) This toy has helped sooooo much. I can feed all dogs at once and set one of these out with some kibble & an oversized treat inside. Our chunky Chihuahua has decided it's easier to finish his food and start slapping the toy around, rather than fighting with his brothers. This gives the other dogs time to eat their food in peace and at their own pace. I can leave the room and know they're all finished and ready to go outside when I hear them all flinging the one toy around. It's still hilarious to watch after all these years. (Especially since they're all older... I suppose a mix between middle aged and senior in dog years?)
Oh, and the rattling noise is hardly bothersome at all anymore. The joy our dogs get out of these toys is worth so much more than a little noise. When we do take notice to the noise, it's because we're more aware of our dogs' routines or it's just a happy sound to hear. I had never really owned multiple dogs at once, so I guess the "noise" seemed way more noticeable in the past for that reason. Also, maybe because I made it too easy for kibbles to go flying about. Despite any amount of noise or teeth marks on the toys, they have never scratched up our various hard floor surfaces.
JUST BUY THE KONG TREAT DISPENSING TOY. Feed your dog's need for independent play and challenges! They don't live very long. And this thing takes some of the attention off of you to keep your dog amused, and allows you to be amused by them for a while. 🩷
*Original review from 2016 is below.*
I needed a solution for two teething, whining puppies who were constantly getting into trouble (humping, chewing, fighting, eating up toilet paper and knocking over the bathroom trash, etc). So I researched pet toys and discovered the Kong Wobbler.
This toy is genius. Basically, you fill it with food/treats, and your dog bats it around until the food/treats fall out from a little hole in the toy. It keeps them busy and intrigued for a while, which keeps them out of trouble.
PROS:
Durable.
Easy to clean.
Easy to fill.
Keeps dogs busy.
Helps build concentration.
Great for dogs that tend to eat too fast.
Not too noisy.
CONS
Some rattling noises caused by food swirling around, and the additional noise of the toy skidding across my hard floor. But it definitely beats the annoying noise of a squeaky toy.
*I want to add that the toy is a little big for my 4 month Chihuahua puppies. One puppy is slightly intimidated by the toy, likely because of its size, but he's been staring at it and circling it non-stop since he saw the other puppy using another one. I think he'll grow into it in a few more weeks though.
I bought two of the Wobblers. I've only had them out for half an hr, but my puppies have not left them alone. It took about 10 min for one of the puppies to figure out how to use it. Because he's so small, he has to really pounce on it to get it to wobble good enough to spill out some treats.
- Reviewed in the United States on December 22, 2024Size: Large (Pack of 1)Verified PurchaseMy two boys can bang these Kong toys around all day long, as long as treats fall out. The Wobbler is easy to load and holds a lot of treats, several cups worth. Because my two boys are pretty good size, both are over 100lbs each, they can destroy toys quickly and the Wobbler can take the abuse. I would recommend the Kong Wobbler for any owners of large dogs, lots of entertainment and they are very durable.
- Reviewed in the United States on October 26, 2011Size: Small (Pack of 1)Verified PurchaseWhen my husband and I adopted our little dachshund/miniature schnauzer mix (he's about 15 pounds), he wasn't eating very much. The vet told us that once he acclimated to his new owners and surroundings, his appetite would pick up. Well, it didn't. After two months, he still would not eat very much out of his bowl. He would take 3-4 bites and would walk away from all his food. My husband and I had to force our dog to eat or hand feed him - neither of which we liked.
I read up on dachshunds and found out that they are hunting dogs. I thought that maybe if we made getting his meal a bit more of a hunt or challenge that he would like it more - and sure enough, I was right! Ever since we bought this Wobbler Kong, he eats ALL his food with no problems! This toy keeps my dog engaged and happy while eating! It is such a relief not to have to force or hand feed our dog and to not worry if our dog is getting enough food. The fact that he enjoys it and likes it so much is just the icing on the cake and makes us so happy! So, for our dog, it's more of an interactive feeder than a toy or game and we feel that it was well worth the money paid!
As others have noted, for a "small" size this is indeed pretty big - it's as tall as my dog! I was surprised by the size when I got it in the mail but I thought I'd give it a try anyway - and I'm glad I did because he loves it! So far, he hasn't had any problems with the size. It knocked him in the head/face a few times at first but never hard and now he's learned and usually moves out of the way.
We've had it about a month now and our dog eats out of it 1-2 times a day and it's holding up just fine. He is a big chewer and he's tried to chew this a few times but so far, has not done any damage. We have high hopes that this will last for a while!

He snarfs the snacks down and then proceeds to chew up the pieces. Great idea, but not a great multiple use produce. This is a waste of money.

Images in this review - Reviewed in the United States on November 22, 2024Size: Small (Pack of 1)Verified PurchaseI have two 35 pound dogs and bought the small/petit size Kong Wobblers although the size says it’s for 25 pound dogs. This size is perfect and my dogs love rolling them and finding food. It’s brain stimulating and fun. I had to buy two to keep my dogs from fighting over them. I fill them with training rewards, whole almonds, peanuts, cut pieces of jerky, kibble. It will keep them entertained for a long time. It would be perfect for dogs that have issues when left alone. These keep the dogs attention longer than the original Kongs. I highly recommend them.
- Reviewed in the United States on January 4, 2025Size: Small (Pack of 1)Verified PurchaseIt wobbles and the dog can hear and smell the kibbles inside, so he bats it around while the kibbles fall out, the Kong toy always wobbling upright again. It’s also used in a shelter where I volunteer, and the dogs love it. It’s very difficult to destroy, and I haven’t seen one fall apart yet.

5.0 out of 5 stars Indispensable for Labrador Retrievers!
Size: Small (Pack of 1)Verified PurchaseGreat kibble dispensing toy that slows down a puppy who eats too fast. It makes her work for her food. Keeps her physically active and mentally stimulated. Good quality. Puppy learns how to roll it immediately. Very easy to load up with kibble and to wash afterwards. Washes well in top rack of dishwasher too. Small size is perfect for a Labrador Retriever puppy. Purchased large size for her adult years. I used a large one for my first Labrador Retriever after my veterinarian recommended it. My dog ate all of her meals from it. It was still in good shape after years of use but I passed it on to another dog owner. Very happy with my purchase. Definitely recommend!
