Dreaming with Bees: Sacred Medicine from Beyond the Veil of Grief Paperback – May 16, 2024
Purchase options and add-ons
Join Lead Author Dasha Allred Bond and twenty-three of her bee sisters as they share the sacred stories that surfaced as they explored the deeper well of collective grief. Working with the wisdom of their dreams and the transformative energy of their bee allies, the bee sisters show us the surprising ways the archetype of the divine feminine reveals herself even amid utter despair and darkness. These stories aren’t for the faint of heart, as they dare to reveal the deeper truths of core trauma often eclipsed by our surface-oriented, high-gloss, spiritual bypassing culture. These stories are unapologetically real and consciousness-stirring. Readers will find their hearts and minds expanding as they feel into each author’s cathartic journey through pain and suffering and into the space of love. Each story ends with a beautiful shared practice or medicine that can be initiated immediately.
A portion of profits from the publication of Dreaming with Bees will go to support Aluna Bridge, a nonprofit dedicated to offering hospice sanctuary to women and children who are unhoused, as well as various nonprofits working to protect our bee friends.

What a delight to find a hive of twenty-four women healers, artists, and dreamers telling the bees the deepest stories of their lives and weaving magic to bring us up from the dark places on shining wings. The humming of the bees, familiar not only in nature but in the shift to a shamanic state of consciousness, stirs the pages. We are encouraged to find the gifts in our wounds and rescue the inner children who went away when the world got too cold and cruel. We are given keys for ancestral healing. We are shown how we can journey to meet wounded ancestors in the time and place of their own wounding and become the soul friends who can help them through. To create - which means to bring something new into our world - is always healing and Dreaming with Bees - will inspire you to write and draw, to sing and dance, to embrace the wind and commit poetry. May the bees bless you as you find and follow your path of honey.
~ Robert Moss, author of Conscious Dreaming and Dreaming the Soul Back Home
Dreaming with Bees is not simply a collection of compelling stories but feels more like the casting of a great spell—a communal invitation to heal generations of unresolved trauma. The raw intimacy shared within each of these women’s stories is not only courageous and inspiring it is also addictively readable. And I absolutely love the touch of “medicine” that follows each chapter, almost like a spiritual antidote to each wound being exposed. What an extraordinary tapestry of creativity and wisdom. Bravo!
~ Michael Goorjian, author/filmmaker What Lies Beyond the Stars, Illusion, Amerikats
Dreaming with Bees is a rare treasure. The soul-stirring stories of 24 accomplished women show us how to be courageous, resilient, compassionate, and hopeful through life’s daunting tests and trials. They mine the delicate territory of loss and grief while expressing the urgent need for self-love and a supportive community. Each woman’s “medicine” offering, whether through sacred plants, sound, meditation, or a shamanic journey, inspires ongoing healing and self-discovery. This deeply personal, transformational book helps us to find our way home to our truest selves. With a poignant blend of grit and grace, and a refreshing dose of raw honesty, Dreaming with Bees reminds us of the healing power of story and that one woman’s story is, in some way, everywoman’s story.
~ Dana Micucci, author of The Third Muse and Sojourns of the Soul: One Woman’s Journey around the World and into Her Truth

"Dasha Allred Bond's chapters sizzle with pain and grief but also with compassion and even joy as she reflects on leading a group of likeminded women, all bearing their own trauma and practicing their own spirituality, toward the healing and power of community. I love that this book's proceeds go toward caring for the unhoused, a beautiful way of channeling personal brokenness from the past into present-day caring for the overlooked."
Joy Jordan-Lake, bestselling author of A Tangled Mercy, Under a Gilded Moon, and the Christy Award winning Blue Hole Back Home.
"True medicine for your soul, Dreaming with Bees is a beautiful compilation of stories, wisdom, and transformational moments to help us remember who we really are."

She is a mother to one, and sister to many. She is a Tantric Bhakti yogini, intuitive empath, and lover of nature. She enjoys writing, Kirtan, and spending quality time with friends. She currently resides in the forest of Middle Tennessee.
Dasha Bond is a certified Dream Coach, Intuitive, and Shamanic Healer, who has studied with Laura Hileman, Freedom Folk & Soul, Gaia Sisterhood, Robert Moss, Sandra Ingerman, Dana Micucci, Ariella Daly, and the late Will Sharon. With her beloved husband, Kenny, and two children, Lilli and Avery, she has pilgrimaged across Southern France and England as well as sacred parts of Mexico and North America, attuning to the energetic lay lines of our lands and the stories carried by the rocks, the rivers, the trees, and the bees. She feels a deep connection to the language of nature and the divine feminine and masculine aspects of herself revealed to her through the dream archetypes found in classic myths and personal stories.
In 2021, she began dreaming with the bees and Our Lady of Guadalupe. Answering their calls in 2022, she visited Our Lady’s Shrine in Mexico City as well as the Pyramids of Teotihuacan. This journey catalyzed the rebirth of her true story and deeper work into the mysteries of consciousness, the multi-verse, and the many ways trauma shows up in our minds, bodies, and energy fields. She currently leads monthly “Dreaming with Bees” healing circles in Franklin, Tennessee.
Having worked in healthcare for over 20 years, Dasha has witnessed countless individuals experience the full spectrum of the physical body’s joys and pains, births and deaths. She has been a member of the No One Dies Alone (NODA) program for seven years, serving the homeless and those with a home but no family or friends to comfort them as they transition. During the peak of COVID in 2020, she felt the call to serve the dying in a deeper capacity, so enrolled and completed the University of Vermont’s End of Life Doula certification program. Much of her focus within the Dreamtime is helping dreamers also move through their seasons of grief from all the many losses we experience, often silently. She is the founder of the nonprofit Aluna Bridge: Hospice Sanctuary for the Homeless. You can learn more about the nonprofit at www.alunabridge.org
When Dasha isn’t dreaming, she is writing. She just completed a collaborative book project titled Shaman Heart, Sacred Rebel that will be released May 2023. - Reviewed in the United States on June 6, 2024Dreaming With Bees is a beautiful tapestry of stories about grief, trauma, and ultimately, healing. As someone who has experienced deep loss, including my mother's untimely, unexpected death, this book was a balm for my soul. The rawness and vulnerability makes each story relatable. I felt seen, understood, and less alone.
The authors bravely share their darkest moments. And they also share how they transformed pain into meaning, even beauty. I found myself highlighting resonant passages and taking note of practices to try.
This isn't a book to race through. It invites you to sit with each story and then examine your own. To reconnect with your innate wisdom. To grieve, and in grieving, open to life again.
Dreaming With Bees doesn't minimize the reality of suffering. It shines a light on the power of spirit, storytelling, and sisterhood to sooth even the deepest sorrow.
If you've known loss, this book will make you feel held. It's an invitation back to yourself, honoring all that you carry. A potent reminder that we heal in community. Dreaming With Bees shows us that we can weave something new from the threads of our unraveling.
Thank you to all 24 contributing writers! Your stories leave me inspired to create beauty from my own grief by weaving a new tapestry from my unraveled threads.
- Reviewed in the United States on May 21, 2024Thank you to the bold, brave, and wild women who shared their stories in this book! The stories are at times sweet, mysterious, shocking, full of grief, grit and pain but also love and light. It shows that telling our stories is medicine, and can help bring us together through common human experience. Hearing others' stories, you know you are not alone. This book pulls at the threads that connect us. It is a clear bell ringing out through shared symbols, archetypes, and experiences. Reminds us of deeper soul and mind bonds with each other and nature, and that we are not alone in our searching, our healing, our wandering journey.

- Reviewed in the United States on May 20, 2024Dreaming with the Bees is a light post for dreaming big, a bigness that existed before we were told that limits exist and to be "reasonable". But if reason prevents us from living well, healing ourselves, and connecting deeply with the world, I want no part of it. Through this book, I'm reminded that no one can limit my dreams, and that my body experiences this life most profoundly when I let myself believe that my largest, biggest, bravest world is being seeded into the world around me. This book is wildly vulnerable and unreasonably true, reminding us that everyday magic is alive, potent, and available to you right now.
- Reviewed in the United States on June 24, 2024Stories are as old as time and ways that we express and capture wisdom. Hard topics told through the gentle spoon feeding by someone who has either walked or created a path gives us as the reader courage and first steps. Wisdom and examples, gifts for the reading and then knowing.
The creativity of the separating of the ying and yang of life and then through a conversation between them peace and wholeness is found. (Gigi Austin author of the path)
Grief grabs us by the heart, squeezes us so hard our eyes leak and our mind scrambles trying to cope. We all have dipped a toe into grief or felt like we were drowning with no lifejacket. These stories throw us
lifelines.
- Reviewed in the United States on May 21, 2024Dasha Bond and her cast of authors assembled an anthology that speaks to the many ways we can move through grief and trauma. I was moved and inspired by Dasha's introduction where she shared her calling to create this book and step into the wisdom that she holds. Her relationship with Mary of Magdala, and the direct guidance she received from Mary is inspiring and profound. I also enjoyed Kim Eden and Kim Colllins' chapters about how plant medicine journeys were instrumental in their healing process. Jennifer Harvard's chapter resonated with me - building a community to help us through recovery is so essential. A portion of the proceeds will go towards helping Dasha Bond's non-profit Aluna, which provides hospice care for homeless women & children. You will be happy you purchased this book.
