Her journey has not been easy and for years of her life she was powerfully unconfident, and it impacted her in her career and in life. As an adult, she worked tirelessly to find the solution to regaining confidence because she could feel that her lack of confidence was holding her back. Since then, Tara has developed a simple 5-step method for regaining confidence that she is ready to share with audiences around the world. She uses her incredible story to inspire and motivate others to action and her goal is to show others how to live truly purposeful lives by developing unstoppable confidence.

Tara has earned a reputation where high-profile executives and top companies trust in her leadership, experience, and unmatched track record. Tara teaches Fortune 500 companies across the US and globally, traveling internationally to deliver leadership strategies to her audiences and to the companies she is working with. Tara is highly educated, earning her MBA with a specialization in Business Analytics from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington as well as earning certificates in Management from The University of Notre Dame, and a certificate in Financial Management from Cornell University. Additionally, Tara is the United States Country Chair for Start-Up Ecosystems for the G100 Mission Million where she uses her position to elevate and support female entrepreneurs across the United States. Recently, Tara has been featured in Forbes Morocco, The United Business Journal, Fox News in New York, the NASDAQ Entrepreneurial Center, as well as many top podcasts.

Confidence - Why Do Some of Us Have It and Some of Us Not?
Writing a book is not an easy thing to do.Tara LaFon Gooch knew that. She knew that there were moments in her life that she had to share, but it scared her a little. It would have scared you, too. Because these were dark moments, full of despair. And yet, she found light. She found courage. She found confidence.I would recommend this book as required reading for high school girls. For girls who are judging themselves too harshly. Girls who are slowly letting the confidence of youth seep out of their pores because the world thinks they should be this way or that way.I would recommend this book to women who want to do or be something more than they are. Who have been held back from blossoming because they were told to stay quiet. The storytelling in this book is mesmerizing. It isn't all sunshine or turds wrapped up in sunshine. It's authentic and genuine, so you see the tears and the shadowy corners where shame and worry live. But you also see the open door beckoning, and all you have to do is step out into the fresh air to start to feel able and confident. As if you could walk down the road all the way to success in whatever it is you want to build success in.It's a journey. One you want to travel with LaFon Gooch. She doesn't mince words or try to sugarcoat things. The path will have stumbling blocks, but you'll feel much better about yourself and more confident about traversing that rocky path after reading this book.

The book was an easy read, made you want to flip to next page for the nuggets on the next page. Tara, her vulnerability exposed real life circumstances but yet didn’t let those things be a reason to hold her back and we shouldnt either. My favorite take away from the book… Don’t doubt ur abilities or feel like ur not qualified if u have a desire to do something there is a seed of confidence somewhere in u, and u have all the potential and power to accomplish. I will be rereading this book, this time with a highlighter!

Tara’s book is written in an easy to follow and clear 5 steps of her GRASP method: Gratitude, Responsibility, Action, Sight and Purpose. Simple yet so powerful.

It is outstanding that in such a short time since her life changing events that occurred in March 2022 that she shares in her book, she was able to so beautifully put this together not only as a tool for others but one that she has used to radically transform her life.

It has taken others, years of therapy, coaching and spiritual work to get to where she is and she beautifully was able to distill these principles in an easy-to-understand manner and follow step by step explaining the science behind it without overwhelming you with data or science.

If you are looking to radically improve your life this book is for you. If you are already in a spiritual path, this is also for you.

This book is full of hope and will definitely take you on a path of clarity and authenticity; and yes confidence as well. 🤩🤩🦋🦋👏👏👏

I love this book. I started reading this book between meetings and could not put it down.

How to Grasp Confidence starts fast, up close and personal with the author, and she learned and applied the lessons of this book to her own life. That’s what makes this book very resonant—the author has done the work; it is not conceptual.

The book invites you to look candidly and caringly at your life, past, present, and future. I spent time particularly on Chapter 6: Sight, to boldly envision a future you. The chapter teaches multiple tools and practices that are useful and enjoyable. In addition to the rich “how to” steps of the book, you’ll end up asking yourself, “Why not,” or “When, if not now.”

I felt very hopeful and energized after reading the book, feeling that I “want” to do this work, I “know” how to do this work, and I “will” do this work. Thank you Tara LaFon Gooch.

You know, in a world of a million self-help and personal growth books, this book is written for everyone! And yes, that means you too! This is a book written in a way that is relatable and accessible for anyone able to read it. Tara writes for you, not for herself or for the author community. She is not trying to impress you with lofty language or deep scientific or data driven studies. She walks with you through stories and a clear and simple strategy that’s will guide you to greater confidence by way of her GRASP method which finds it’s basis in gratitude from beginning to end. Read it, and within the first chapter alone, you will find at least a piece of what you are looking for. Tara has unwittingly created a movement, won’t you join me there?

Tara, I am so grateful you authentically shared about that very difficult moment where you considered ending your life on 3/16/2022, as it contributes to normalizing the conversation about s**cide and bringing H.O.P.E (helping open people’s eyes) to humanity! If you're someone like me who has struggled with issues like low confidence or imposter syndrome your whole life, do yourself a favor and get this book.

I was prepared to get a few takeaways but to be disappointed overall (the product of being a former self help junkie). However, once I started reading, I was unable to stop.

The author's story was so moving and felt like she was speaking directly to me. So many of us struggle with self confidence. And for me, it wasn't about not being able to ever muster up enough confidence at times. It was the act of holding on to that confidence. And not being crippled by imposter syndrome every time I achieved any modicum of success.

The book not only outlines the authors touching (very human) story. It also outlines practical steps to move towards gaining and holding on to that confidence.

I highly recommend this book and I've already bought extra copies to hand out to my loved ones.

If this book is being recommended, do yourself a favor and get it.
