I was so excited to received this book that I ripped open the Amazon packaging as soon as it arrived and immediately dove right in. For the first of it's kind, I found this book easily digestible, insightful and informative. I am a migraine researcher myself and I agree with many of its key points and recommendations, such as preventative treatments depending on the nature of migraines. I also learned a lot! Like, don't take two triptans in one 24 hour period. Yikes! I almost did that recently unknowingly. Also, my mind is blown after learning that Menstrual Migraine is definitely a thing. I appreciate that Cerebral Torque speaks in layman's terms and the graphics are top notch. This is a great first edition and will go a long way in helping many people. The glossary at the end is an easy and helpful reference too. In any second edition, I would like to see some more updated sourcing for the info included or a reference page at the end since the science is constantly evolving. Thank you!

I’ve had migraines for over two decades. I’ve tried many different medications, supplements and alternative treatments. I purchased this book to 1) review etiology and 2) determine what treatments I haven’t tried and their level of evidence. I was able to use the information in this book to better review the options with my neurologist. It’s a written book and even entertaining, I read it cover to cover the day I received it. I’d recommend it as a well rounded resource for anyone with migraines.

I love how this takes a very complex issue and makes it very digestible. As someone who has had chronic migraines for 25 years, it is great to see more and more information available. But where this book might really shine is in sharing it with the loved ones of people with migraine - it can be hard to properly convey to others what the experience is like and I think this does a great job.

I found this book very thorough, informative, and really easy to read. It's technical enough to teach new concepts, but still easy for a layman to understand! I find myself referencing it all the time. I even took it to a doctor's appointment. You won't regret checking this one out.

5 stars is not enough stars!! "Unraveling Migraine" is a fantastic resource for anyone dealing with migraine. As someone who experiences these debilitating episodes, I found this book to be incredibly informative and supportive. It dives into the complexities of migraine, providing insights into their origins, symptoms, and the latest treatment options. The combination of scientific research and personal stories makes it both comprehensive and relatable.

The infographics are particularly helpful, breaking down complex information into easily digestible visuals. This makes it not only a valuable guide for sufferers but also a great tool to share with friends and family to help them understand what living with migraines entails.

Moreover, the book addresses the stigma and common misconceptions about migraines, empowering readers to advocate for themselves and others. Whether you're newly diagnosed or have been managing migraine for years, this book offers a wealth of knowledge and support. Highly recommended for anyone affected by migraine!

I’ve been dealing with migraines for decades. I’ve been on all the meds. I work in healthcare and have a fantastic neurologist. I thought I knew all there was to know about migraine. Boy was I wrong! This book is small but mighty and packed full of useful, up to date information. It’s not intimidating like so many other medical references, either. It’s very accessible and easy to understand. Highly recommended for anyone dealing with migraine or who loves someone living with migraine. There’s hope out there!

This book was incredibly eye-opening for me in understanding migraines. It broke down the complexities of the condition in a way that was both informative and easy to grasp. The personal stories and practical tips really helped me feel more prepared to manage my own migraines and better communicate with my healthcare provider. Also helped me explain to my family the complexity of my condition.

I really liked the quality of the information, the infographic style and the comprehensiveness. Whereas as some sources just cover one aspect such as lifestyle, meds or research, this book does a good job on all three. Best practical book I've found on migraine.

5.0 out of 5 stars Really appreciate the section on pregnancy
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on September 9, 2024
This book is fantastic. The section on pregnancy has been particularly helpful. Doctors have not been able to explain the pros and cons of certain treatments to me and it has allowed me to make more informed decisions.

Thank you for releasing it for Kindle?

As a longtime follower of Cerebral Torque on TikTok and Reddit, I have always appreciated their straightforward, myth-busting approach to migraine awareness. When I learned they were releasing a book, I couldn't wait to get my hands on it. Today, it finally arrived, and my first impressions are very positive. The fun infographic style makes the content incredibly accessible and easy to understand, which is perfect for sharing with family and friends. I’ve thrown my copy of "Heal Your Headache" by David Buchholz in the trash. No more “diets” or “quick fixes” (that never worked) for me. Migraine is a disease with no cure, and it’s time the world recognizes this and shifts the thinking towards prevention, treatment and understanding.
