    Definitely a right should sling

    Definitely a right should sling
This review is intended to address only the way the sling is intended to be worn and not the actual quality or longevity of the bag as I will be returning this. I've seen others ask the question with several varying answers, and it's quite possible that Amazon has changed the sling design over the years, but I can tell you without a doubt that the sling that I purchased and received is intended to be worn over the right shoulder. When resting against the wearer's back, the top of the bag is closest to the wearer's right shoulder and the bottom of the bag is closest to the wearer's left hip. For my preference, it seems to be designed so that access into the bag when rotated to the wearer's front-side is to be done with the left-hand as it is now angled resting against the wearer's stomach with the bottom of the bag closest to the wearer's right shoulder and the top of the bag closest to the wearer's left hip.If the wearer intends to access the bag while wearing across the front-side, the angle to do so is just not right and the shoulder strap is in the way. To me, and as I said earlier is totally a matter of personal preference, being right-handed and wishing to be able to access the bags contents with my right hand while wearing across my stomach, this just isn't possible. It's also important to note that the bag's design does not allow it to be simply worn across the left shoulder instead. There is a second strap attachment that allows it hang more securely on-body to prevent swinging and swaying and it can't be reversed. Unless I missed the option for a different wear-style, this bag appears to be catered to left-handers or at least those that prefer to access the bags contents with the left-hand.I will say that the bag does look like it will hold several items and overall construction quality seems to be on par with other AmazonBasics products. There also seems to be sufficient padding inside the bag but I'm not able to say how long the bag would hold up over time nor whether it will hold everyone's varying kit set ups. I have a T7i, 50mm prime, 10-18mm wide angle and 18-250mm zoom and canon battery charger and everything fit just fine with extra room for a speed light or other zoom lens and perhaps detached lens strap. I hope this review helps!
