The Unveiling: The story of open contact Kindle Edition

3.2 3.2 out of 5 stars 8 ratings

Panic Grips the world as a nuclear showdown in the Middle East threatens to engulf the world in an atomic fireball. Then suddenly, millions of people from all over the earth instantly vanish off the face of the planet with no explanation. Speculation suggests it was the result of a new secret weapon fired into the Middle East standoff, but when the global leaders introduce the world’s populace to a powerful alien race, the Balazons, all bets are off.Shocking words of revelation from Khur-ak, the alien leader, threaten to destabilize the world even further. He claims that they have been invisibly influencing the evolution of human kind for millions of years; that they are, in fact, the gods we have so long worshipped. Now they bring a message of universal peace and prosperity as well as a desire to continue man’s evolution openly and with full knowledge.*********Though written as fiction, "The Unveiling" is a credible open contact scenario. When confronted with the mysteries of existence, those who don't believe in some sort of personal God generally subscribe to the modern scientific view that the universe came into existence at a cosmic "big bang" explosion billions of years ago, and everything (including life forms) subsequently evolved slowly through natural processes spanning these many billions of years. In his book The Origin of Species, first published in 1859, Charles Darwin was the first to successfully popularize this concept of evolution in relation to organic life. Ever since then, Darwin's biological evolutionary beliefs have been hotly debated between two general camps: those who believe in a personal Creator and those who don't. If evolution is true, then it is logically possible that other beings exist in the universe farther along the evolutionary scale than humans, the veritable "gods" humans have always worshipped, and in fact, humans are evolving to such a state as well. If these beings exist, they might have interacted with ancient man and influenced our beliefs about God for some grand great purpose that humans were too immature to comprehend at the time. Mankind has technologically advanced greatly in the last 100 years or so, but are we advanced enough in our consciousness to fully assimilate information aliens might bring us about our concepts of God? Are aliens going to openly show themselves one day soon and help mankind understand the mysteries of our and their existence? On the other hand, many people would be fearful and suspicious of open contact with aliens. The Bible and other ancient religious texts speak of the existence of dark forces of evil that oppose a very real and personal God, and also speak of a great cosmic struggle between a devil and this God. If open contact occurred, would you believe these aliens to be "demons in disguise" trying to deceive mankind for some evil purpose? Or might there be good evolutionary explanations as to why our cosmic "parents" led mankind to believe in the existence of a devil and demons, as well as a God and angels? Read on to help you discover the truth on this matter and prepare you for the future, for like it or not, "The Unveiling" open contact is coming!*********Even credible source pentagon admits the UFO phenomenon is real, and STRONG evidence we are not alone, as no man-made craft can do the things these UFOs can do. See pentagon link here for details: https://www.cnn.com/2020/04/27/politics/pentagon-ufo-videos/index.html. The pentagon is not known for hoaxing, and the United States military is still best in the world, and very capable/competent to assess craft violating their airspace as either human threats from another nation, or something non-human. This whole UFO phenomenon directly relates to the origins debate. There can be NO doubt these things are real, so only two credible options for who these beings are: evolution = highly evolved beings, "gods", OR creation = demons (lack evolution time). Which do you believe?

The book description really drew me in as an exciting sci-fi read on aliens showing up on Earth. About halfway in, the storyline makes an abrupt turn into very scripture heavy religious ideology and a battle between God and Satan.

Ultimately, this book is one person's attempt at explaining how all of the scientific evidence for evolution could fit into a Christian belief system. Oi. Not exactly what I intended to read, but I'm the type of person that likes to see a book through to the end and finish what I started. Really not sure if this one was worth it.

I won this book from Goodreads after reading I am to review. This book is not my normal type of book to read. The book starts after the tribulation. The book is about the war between God and Satan.

I am not much into theology. Found the best way to read it was to pretend I was in different universe and this was like another fiction. The book was written well but could use more action

An extraordinary evaluation of deceit. UFOs and the ultimate deception of humanity...spell binding to the end. I would not put it down until I had finished the read!

This started out interesting but from a christian perspective, the theology was all wrong. The story became too strange for me because of this. It seemed to mix in new age philosophy with christianity and the story failed for me.

Chapter One of this fictional account of open human contact with aliens begins with a worldwide television broadcast that introduces all viewers to an alien race called the "Balazons". In relation to TV, we've all heard the expression "glued to the tube" and know what it means. Well, I was "glued to the book" from the opening page on.

Although this book is fiction, I read it with fascination, as if it were all happening right now in real life. To me, it was very believable, as I think there is something to the UFO/alien thing. Too many credible witnesses have seen UFOs and been affected by them, too many anomalous radar contacts in the skies, physical evidence left behind etc... that it can all be written off as nonsense. But this is the first book I've ever read that gives a credible explanation as to what these mysterious "aliens" have been doing with mankind for so long. The book was well written and fascinating and absorbing, a real page turner. I couldn't put it down until the final page. The ending wrapped things up nicely and gave a mind blowing (and believable) answer to the Biblical mystery of why an all powerful God would allow the devil and his demons such carte blanche with humans for thousands of years. I walked away awed at a presentation of the love of God in a way no Christian writer has ever done before. I highly recommend it to everyone.

Beginning with a television telecast announcing the arrival of an alien race called the Balazons, "The Unveiling" draws the reader into a fascinating world of deception, conspiracy and struggle for power. Dennis Gilmour spins a wonderful tale dealing with the life of Jeff Saunderson, a quiet pharmacist working at a drugstore who is forced into a seemingly impossible situation where his personal belief and convictions are the only source of help and support.

He finds his life taking a series of surprise turns that makes him the last hope for mankind in its struggle for self-preservation. As the tale unfolds, the reader also begins to identify with Jeff's struggle against his fears and doubts. The protagonist's struggle becomes synonymous with the devout soul's desire for attaining redemption from the world of sin and suffering.

In this debut novel, the author combines the elements of science fiction and a thriller in order to make the work a highly interesting read. The novel is sure to be an instant success with its focus on the present world situation and its attempt to look beyond the problems for a panacea.

This book is a critical take on the contemporary age and its frenzy to attain greater power by any means. The questions of life and beyond along with other mysteries of life are subtly raised and in its own way, this book tries to find an answer to them.

This book blew me away. It was very good. A real page turner! Could not put it down. Some won't take it seriously for several reasons. The front cover may be offensive or too weird for some readers (An Alien on a Cross in space). Many are turned off by reading about Aliens. I found the End-Time theme involving Aliens to be very refreshing, realistic, and interesting involving the link to the New Age Religion & Eastern Thought.

One critique I have with the Novelette is that the gifts of the Spirit that the main characters recieve are super-hero in nature and therefor not believeable. However this too also makes it more interesting than other Christian Books.

Hats off! I'll be searching to find a book as thrilling as this one!
