This fan is great.... it seems well-built, moves air effectively, and is not too loud. But my reason for buying it is, of course, the Alexa integration. I was able to control my existing tower fan using a combination of a smart plug and an IR emitter set up to send the appropriate remote control commands to the fan. This hacked-together approach worked pretty well, but sometimes the fan would not "see" the IR commands, and it was awkward to change speed (to get it to work, the IR emitter had to be told that the fan was a TV, so that I could say "volume up" to cycle through fan speeds).
Alexa integration works perfectly on this new fan. It's configured to automatically turn on in the morning when I enter the room, and off at night when I leave, and it's easy to increase or decrease fan speed throughout the day when needed.
Edit 10/22 (about a year after original purchase): the fan motor started periodically making a light chirping noise. I was pleased to see that it has a 5 year warranty, something I hadn't noticed when I originally purchased. I filed a warranty claim, which was responded to promptly, and a few days later the replacement unit was at my door.
