I received this book from a friend about 5 years ago. It was at a period of time in my life when everything around me was crumbling. I had terrible bouts of anxiety and insomnia and was at a loss of how to cope and deal with all of the stress and heartache. I read "I Release" and right away felt more at ease. I didn't feel so alone in trying to figure out how I was even going to get out of bed the next day. Their writing is impactful and inspiring... powerful words with a take-charge attitude to help you look at life a little differently and be able to free yourself and come back after being knocked down. Then it got even better, because the friend that gave me the book told me that I could meet personally with Voge Smith, who lived only about 30 miles away from me. I had my first session with Voge soon thereafter and can honestly say that it was the only bit of relief, comfort and clarity that not only helped me cope during the present challenges, but actually helped me regain strength and confidence about the future. And, my anxiety and insomnia went away. I still continue to see both Voge and Hugh Smith to this day and count them now as life long spiritual teachers and friends.

I had the honor to meet Dr. Isa and Yolanda Lindwall in 2005 right after this book was released. They are the creators of this powerful work that Voge and Hugh Smith bring to the world in this book, I Release.
I share it with my Polistic Yoga students to help them make powerful shifts in their life.
They give real-world stories along with tips and techniques to improve the reader's life. 10/10 Recommend.

I once read that human beings are bundles of conditioned responses. I didn't realize how true this was until I read I Release! and personally worked with Voge and Hugh Smith. Over time, I've become aware of my deeply ingrained thought patterns and larger belief systems absorbed over a lifetime from family and culture and how the negative aspects shadow my life keeping me from achieving joy, love, creativity. Some say we have up to 60,000 thoughts a day and that 80% of them are negative. Confronting this wall of negative emotion is an empowering experience with I Release. It is simple, safe, and it works. And don't underestimate the power of the simplicity. In the beginning it's like a process of untangling a ball of yarn. Your problems may seem overwhelming, but after a while if you keep at it, an amazing thing happens. The unraveling gains momentum, and the sensation of becoming free unfolds. I can't express my gratitude enough that I have this in my life. I personally use it most often in the morning processing dreams and before I go to bed clearing the day's thoughts. Enjoy your heart singing!

This book is unique as is the process. It is not about spending hours, weeks, years trying to find out why you are the way you are but instead looking at who you can be. And the process is "letting go" RELEASING that which holds you back. This is not done with guilt or shame, those things that are holding us back have been there to protect us and were necessary for then, but as Voge says, "that was then, this is now and those things are not needed now. I release______________". It is amazing how well it works. Do understand some of our protective tools have been there for a long time, so this is a book that is a guide. Keep it nearby, it does WORK...

Phenomenal book, phenomenal process

I've been working with Voge and Hugh for a few years now and I can't stress enough how potent this process is. As other reviewers have said, it's simple, it's practical, and it WORKS. Not only do you see results in the long term, but in the immediate moment of releasing as all the years of stress and angst built up around the issue dissolve into relief. It's a bit shocking when you realize just how tethered you are to your "stuff," but once you do these releasing processes and experience how well they work, you'll definitely want to continue and see just how clear you can get and how powerful you can feel. I've worked through relationship, health, and work issues and am constantly amazed how much this has helped me turn things around and see great results in just a few sessions. Fantastic book, highly recommended!

I have been working with the Smiths and the releasing process since 1995 and have had (and am still having)GREAT results in my life. I have to tell you, this book is as close to being in a workshop as you can get! The value and power of the exercises are beyond words, but let me give it a shot! What seems like a simple exercise leads you right to and through the process of dealing with and healing something that has been an anchor around your neck for years. This book lays it out in a simple and usable way for anyone to discover their hearts desires and to jump start the joy of living into them. Not only do the Smiths give you great stories and information, but they offer practical ways to get at an issue and release it. This book is thankfully very user friendly. So I say, Woo-Hoo, this book makes a difference in your life and how you live it ... from your heart and with all the love you can imagine!
