Rough Hard Fierce was an emotionally raw story that was an incredible read. There was so many emotions within the story that really made it easy to connect with the characters. Skye Warren is an author that can write a story that will have you on the edge of your seat from start to finish. This is one of these stories.

Allie was an amazingly strong character that has experienced so much pain and hardship in her young life. But she continues to go on with her life and does whatever she has to in order to care for her loved ones.

Colin was incredible caring of Allie and I absolutely loved him. I loved the way that he protected Allie when he didn't really know her and the way that he treated her.

This was such an amazing story and I love this authors style of writing.

ROUGH:
This short story fascinated me from the very start. I felt deeply for the heroine and her struggles. Her past was battered and broken but she was trying her best to piece her life back together.

When she met Colin, she had her own intentions and plan. But he immediately threw her for a loop and shattered all semblance of what she thought she deserved and needed. He was good to her. Cared for her. Treated her better than she’d ever been treated. I swooned hard for his character!!!! Even flawed and a bit mysterious, he was a good man!

I was so glad she had someone to lean on, like her best friend. She needed a ton of emotional support that she should have been getting professionally, but made due with what she had. The ride or die relationship she had with her bff was incredible. They loved each other like family. More sisters than friends.

This story ended rather abruptly, setting it up for the next story in the series. I will definitely keep reading because I’m invested in Allie and Colin’s happiness!

HARD:
Not as dramatic and suspenseful as the first story but still a quality read. The trust that’s building between the H and h is incredible! But there’s certainly an underlying sense of worry that it’s all built on lies and deceit. Allie starts to second guess things and prove she’s not a total docile pawn. I loved seeing her true strength in this book!

FIERCE:
Loved this one!!!!! Allie finally showed what she was made of and Colin was able to let his walls crumble and give himself fully over to love. I wanted nothing more than for these two to discover they belonged together and settle down as a family. All the drama, corruption and deceit was worth it!!!!

This is Allie and Colin story. Allie was betrayed by her best friend Andrew. The outcome was Andrew disappearing and Allie having to fend for herself with a new baby. When her path crosses with Colin, he is everything she wants and does not want. Colin takes one look at Allie and desires her, but he sees more in Allie and her daughter, he sees the family he wants. When the world has taught you never to trust, can you learn to trust one another? Allie has learnt to self- harm herself through sexual encounters. Will Colin be the one to show her a different light? Can Allie trust Colin or is he like every man she has ever encountered? Overall this was not a bad read and Ms Warren definitely draws you in with her writing and plot twists. However I could not warm up to the characters, there was just something lacking and I did not feel the attraction between Allie and Colin. So for me personally it was an okay read.

This was all so much, but not enough! I feel like I want to live outside Colin's and Allie's window and watch them grow. I really would love to see them further down the line, hopefully they appear in other books. I'm rambling. But I loved their instant connection and tragic journey they took to find themselves and each other. This one was unique for a love story, it's Skye Warren, she delivers fast-paced stories filled with broken people and sets their world alive with chaos and sexuality. I originally read these books as novellas, when they first released, this was a reread, I'm glad I did. My rating and thoughts have changed. Not by much, but I feel as though I connected with this read, so much more than I did the first time around. I don't re-read books, I may need to change my ways. It seems I've grown as a reader.

Allie's journey hit me hard, in a way that felt realistic and alarming. I guess I read her like I'd lived her life. In a way I have, I choked up a few times, her path was bumpy, rugged, filled with roadblocks, yet she kept fighting. Things didn't have to be perfect, it was what is was. A challenge. A battle. She conquered. I don't want to go into detail about her last and what led to her drawing a line. You'll have to dive in and see for yourself. Let's just say, I love her.

Colin. Oh, Colin. He reminds of a silent cave man. Mysterious. Dark. Delish. Hit me over the head and cherish me for the rest of our lives. God, I fell in love with him too. This unlikely pair. Allie could speak for the both of them in a way I felt all the need.

Before I make this review into a novella... Lmao! It wouldn't be a Warren book without some suspense to keep wondering. There's a layer of everything you'd like to sample. All your needs baked into one cake. I ate it and licked my fingers. I really fell in love, didn't I say that already, like ten times. Anyway, I loved this pair. The story was grey at times. But the trust and overwhelming feelings were ever present. I needed my happily ever happy. They deserved it, they wiggled their way into my heart.

I started reading this book and realised I’d read it before it must have been a free story at the end of another novel by Skye Warren but hey ho I decided to give it another read ,as with all Skye’s books they are well written with a dark element that running through it .Allie lived with her father but when he found out that she was pregnant he threw her out of the home ,sadly her pregnancy was a result of her being raped by Andrew who was someone she regarded as her best friend ,her only true friend turned out to be Shelly who stood by her throughout . Allie did go to the hospital after the rape but was assaulted and threatened whilst there by one of the policemen who was supposed to be taking a statement from her and a few days after she withdrew her statement . Allie gave birth to a beautiful girl who she called Bailey, both Shelly and Allie lived in a rundown block of flats ,where Shelly funded her life style by being an escort and Allie worked at a local bakery but once a month,she needed the services of a man so she used to go to bars to pick up random men that would give her the rough sex she needed . Whilst visiting the bar one night she catches the eye of a mysterious man called Colin who takes her to a hotel room to do the deed but instead of being rough he’s quite gentle with her . As you can guess things progress quite quickly between Colin and Allie, but of course he’s got secrets and a dark background ,and what happens when Andrew suddenly turns up wanting to have access with his daughter ? . Things get quite messy when the secrets start to come to the fore will they be able to sort things out and have a happy ending ? I think you can guess the answer

Introduces broken characters that the average damaged person can relate to, but not in an uncomfortable or too confronting way (as I found some of her other work to be). At the level it was in this book I felt I could still class it as entertaining.
