    This Antenna Works Absolutely Wonderful. It was the First kit I bought for the Hubsan H501S Standard Controller's Long Range Modification, and it worked Flawless !!! Up to 1,200 Meters Range with Solid 5.8GHz FPV !! I've used this product for 6 Months Without Any Problems, and will continue to use it ! The wires, and both antennae were built with quality. Highly Recommend this kit !

    I live in a suburban residential area in a fairly large town. Originally when I was flying with the stock antennas, I could go out to around 300 meters, beyond that, the video feed would get very fuzzy and controls would get choppy. Now, I have been able to fly 1200 meters out at an altitude of 100 meters up and still had a clear video feed and responsive controls. I'm sure that I could most likely go beyond that, however, my own fear is the only thing holding it back. Considering the area that I fly in, which has little to no open space, lots of WiFi, Bluetooth, radio signals, and just about anything else that could easily cause interference, I am more than satisfied with the performance boost. I was expecting maybe 600-700 meters, but definitely no where near 1200+. These antennas were simple to install, drilled two holes in the top of my transmitter and connected the two wires to the circuit board after removing the old antennas. There are a ton of YouTube videos that demonstrate the process and I would recommend watching them to ensure that you install properly. I was skeptical after reading the negative reviews on here, however, after testing these and seeing the affects first hand, all I can assume is that those individuals probably did not do a proper install, live in an extremely congested area with a lot of interference, or tested in poor weather conditions.

    There doesn't seem to be any noticeable difference at all between these and the regular antennas. No instructions accompany the product, only the picture in the description on the website give any instruction. Only a couple good videos on youtube about installation. The antenna with the square panel will not stay in place at all either. Gravity always pulls it down which makes it nearly impossible to aim it at the drone.

    If you plan to use this for a Husban H501s X4, don't. Complete waste of time. I installed this modification kit into my Husban an not only once, but twice I completely lost the drone due to the crappy antennas just cutting out with no warning at about 150m. Not only are they unreliable, but THE RANGE IS WORSE than the stock antennas that were in the controller. I was able to get 250m plus on the stock antennas, I can't even get close to 150m now. Unreal, super unhappy.

    I bought this to use with my DJI Phantom 3 Standard and it worked beautifully.

    I drilled a hole in the front of my remote and did a test. The Phantom easily reached 500 meters which was my self imposed limit within the app so it could have easily gone past that. I of course only used the 5.8 gHz antenna for this application,

    Used these to "upgrade" the antennas in the standard transmitter for Hubsan H501S. The connector wires are of similar size and quality to what came in the transmitter, 2.4GHz ducky antenna is standard generic 3dB antenna. Opening the patch antenna reveals a single etched PCB board with the antenna wire soldered directly to it and the shell clipped around it with small pegs.

    -I have since upgraded my quad to Circular polarized antennas and is now using a helical antenna on the transmitter. Range and quality is way better than this patch! HOWEVER: I did repurpose these antennas to flying my H107D indoors since that still uses a linear whip antenna for FPV, there is definitely a difference in quality over the stock biquad antenna. This patch picks up signal all around better than the stock antenna, even behind, which makes me think that while this antenna is an improvement over stock, it is not as high gain as claimed, since 14dBi would mean most of the signal is focused forward, which I discovered is not the case after using this for indoor FPV flying. I would still highly recommend this as an inexpensive upgrade however, since I did discover it provides better signal all around better.

    While the kit is extremely easy to install, mine killed the video reception. No video at all! Triple checked all connections, everything is exactly as instructed. Now I have to put the original components back in and have two holes opening the electronics to outside elements.. complete waste of money for me. Haven't decided yet if I'll return it for another one .. hate paying shipping.
    Addendum: I found that if you re-bind the transmitter to the drone the video comes back. No mention of this anywhere. I still have a problem getting both joysticks to function, only throttle will work. Also cannot bring up menu to switch between normal and expert mode.

    Easy install, took me 30 minutes start to finish. I had to try different angles of the antenna to get the best performance, you can get varying results depending on the antennas position. After finding what works best for my H501S I have flown out to 820 meters with no problems, I would like to try for more, am worried about having enough battery to get back as I am flying over a heavily wooded area. We will see!
