- Reviewed in the United States on December 9, 2022This book gives a good overview to having a healthy intimate relationship with your spouse.
For some, the ideas in here could be revolutionary. If the principles of this book are followed the chances of attaining a happy intimate life and marriage go way up exponentially.
- Reviewed in the United States on September 15, 2012This book is a great read for all couples. Written for people of the Latter Day Saints faith, but applicable for everyone in a loving, committed relationship.Easy to read format where you can read any chapter in any order.Common sense advise with questions to discuss at the end of each chapter. Great gift for new couples as well as people entering their 25th year of intimacy.
- Reviewed in the United States on September 16, 2014Don't be put off by negative reviews - this book does not endorse an "anything goes" philosophy to sex acts within marriage. What it DOES endorse is making sex a matter of thoughtful discussion, open communication, and spiritual inquiry.
And that's as it should be. As the authors themselves point out, which specific sexual behaviors a couple chooses to engage in is highly personal and should not be dictated by obscure church leader quotes taken out of context. Rather than looking for a list of "approved" sexual behaviors, couples should give themselves permission and space to determine what works best for them through trial and error, patience, forgiveness, and humor.
In short, this book is a much-needed step towards removing the taboo of sexual discussion from LDS culture. Highly recommended.
- Reviewed in the United States on November 14, 2024This book is aimed at a very technically limited audience. The writing style reflects an older social frame. For example, it relies heavily on metaphor when talking about the human body or mechanics of sexual intercourse. If you can handle real labels and don't need to pretend (one supposes to avoid embarrassment) then look for another book. If not, well then this book is for you.

- Reviewed in the United States on March 20, 2015A very good book. I really enjoy the questions at the end of the chapter. My wife and I read the book together and discussed the questions at the end. These discussions really helped me feel a greater level of intimacy with her. Some people have criticized the book but I challenge anyone to just pick up this book and read it for yourself. It can't hurt you to read it and I would argue that the conversations you will have with your spouse in response to the end of chapter questions make this book worth it for any couple.
- Reviewed in the United States on August 24, 2019mostly for the LDS reader but I think anyone would benefit from reading it. Would be good for young LDS or Christian couples who are planning on getting married or fairly new at marriage. Succint and to the point which I think is a positive.
- Reviewed in the United States on July 19, 2017This was elegantly written and gave great insight to a very untalked about subject. I felt the authors put a great deal of knowledge and insight with a soft heart and loving spirit into these topics.
