    Time travel...is it really possible? Yseult's about to find out. A powerful witch engaged in the battle to defeat the Corpse King, she and her sister witches feel the Corpse King's power rising to unstoppable levels. History gives clues to how the Corpse King was bound, defeated, by a woman a thousand years ago. But the specifics of that knowledge have been lost to time. The witches have only one chance. Someone has to go back, find the secret behind the Corpse King's defeat. It's fallen to Yseult to undertake that journey. As her sister witches cast the spell to send her back in time, she has no clue what awaits her! She awakens in a meadow, disoriented and exhausted. But worse, her powers are gone. She has a single day in which to find the Corpse King's weakness. Is that even possible without her powers? To make matters worse, the Corpse King's Berserker guards find and take her prisoner. What's she to do? Imprisoned, powerless, how can she possibly find the information she needs? A single day, no powers, an impossible task. The Corpse King must be defeated. It happened before. She must make it happen again. Failure's not an option. But all isn't as it seems. There's discontent among the Corpse King's Berserkers.     There have been a series of reverse harem books recently published by a number of authors. I've read all of them. They're all excellent. But this book is uniquely Lee Savino. Tying this story to her Berserker world is a stroke of genius. Her creation of Yseult is breathtaking. While Yseult is obviously the focus of the story, a powerful witch thrust backward in time where her powers disappear and all hope of saving the future seems lost, Tristan, Ivar, Lars, and Magnus are absolutely magnificent. The qualities of the Berserkers from Yseult's own time are clearly evident in these four. While the Corpse King holds the ultimate power over all, including his Berserker warriors, Tristan, Ivar, Lars, and Magnus are far from puppets on a string. Neither are they token fantasy warriors inserted into the story for the sake of pure eroticism. Is the story hot? Absolutely! But Yseult's beauty, bravery, and very nature is inspirational. Her warriors would put their lives on the line to protect a woman they've known but a single day and may never see again. And these five characters form a bond that transcends space, distance, and even time. This story is absolutely enchanting and bewitching. Lee Savino has truly outdone herself with this book. I absolutely adored it! Congratulations, Ms. Savino! This book is inspired! It deserves nothing less than five stars!

    The story is a stand-alone in the Reverse Harem series, but if you have followed Ms. Lee Savino’s Berserker series, you will understand more about the Corpse King, the Berserkers, and know that Yseult is a spaewife witch with great powers in her time.

    “Spaewives, we call them. Women touched by the Goddess who possess natural—abilities.”

    The sister witches have decided that one among them must go back in time to learn how they can destroy the Corpse King that is growing stronger. Yseult is chosen by the eldest Crone and sent back one thousand years, but when she arrives, she is powerless and must do everything on her own as a mere mortal maiden, but she will gain the help of four of the king's guard.

    She will be tested by the use of a moonstone and deemed to have the gift of a Spaewife and deemed worthy of the King Mage. All the men, warriors, Berserkers present are sons of the King, their mothers all used and discarded, now lost souls. “He will not stop until he has enslaved all of us. That is why my people fear. That is why I must face him. I must, Tristan, it’s why I have come.”

    “A queen. Worthy of a king. You will rule beside me, Yseult. And whole worlds will fall at our feet.”

    Without her powers, will Yseult be able to hold off the Mage? Will she have aid within the ranks of the warriors and maybe even beyond the grave? The dream sharing between Yseult and the brothers all foresee danger. Will it mean the end of Tristan, Lars, Ivar, and Mangus—and even Yseult?

    “We will fight to defeat him. No, you cannot stop us. We will be your champions.”

    Yseult has always been on her own, while she is a powerful witch in her time, here one thousand years ahead of her time, she does not possess those powers, but she had gained the respect of many. What will come of her and these four Berserker warriors?

    “We have one night, I have only one wish. Not a command.” “And they proceeded to make me writhe. I was a woman, I was a goddess, and they worshipped me every way they knew how.”

    I loved this book. It's about time Yseult got her own story and love. She has been in the series since the beginning. Her help and support has been invaluable. I loved this sweet sexy story. All the characters are well written and described. There is so much desire to help from her guards. I really enjoyed reading this book and I highly recommend it. It can easily be read as a standalone. I find it hard to believe that this book is over a hundred pages long it's so easy to read.
