Customers are mixed about the tightness of the portable electronic device mount. Some mention that it has a strong clamp, a very secure mount for any camera with standard threading, and that it can be freely adjusted and securely tightened by its ring. However, others say that the black piece that tightens the clamp already fell off, you have to tighten it very tight and then it still slips unless you balance your camera, and the pad on the clamp would fall off sometimes.

"...Looks and feels like it was very expensive. Will deff hold your camera in any position without moving or sliding around...." Read more

"...This is a cheap product, and it's use shows it. The 'too-flimsy' ball head combined with the 'too-stiff' arm make this practically useless to me." Read more

Customers are dissatisfied with the ball head of the portable electronic device mount. They mention that it wobbles a little but the mount itself is very solid. Some say that the ballhead flops around with the weight of a DSLR and that it's too much for a spitting scope.

Nice stiff arm, clamp works on desk/shelf or pole, but ball head is garbage

Nice stiff arm, clamp works on desk/shelf or pole, but ball head is garbage
The good news is that the arm is very, very stiff, and should be able to hold any reasonable camera. Another thing I like is that the clamp can be used on a desk without damaging the desk, because it isn't curved. but also seems to hold onto a poll. The bad news is that the ballhead and quickrelease is complete garbage, and barely holds a camera. You have to tighten it very tight and then it still slips unless you balance your camera delicately at the point of equilibrium, at which point there's no benefit to having a ball head, just give me a 1/4" screw mount. (Well, technically there are three stable angles, balanced on top, and flopped all the way over forwards and backwards, but come on...)Anyway, the good news is that if you get the ANDYCINE Viper Magic Arm, Double Ball Heads, it fits perfectly onto the ballhead at the end of this arm once you remove the garbage quickrelease. So I'm actually quite happy with this product, but am giving 3 stars because the double ballhead is basically the same price as the arm, so it doubles the price. The attached photo shows what it looks like when you use the ANDYCINE double ball head.

5.0 out of 5 stars Sturdy, reliable mount
Reviewed in the United States on April 28, 2021
This product was just what I was looking for to mount my mirrorless camera behind my monitor. I’ve tried several different adjustable arms, and none worked well – it was really hard to find an arm that could reliably hold the weight of a full-sized camera.

This thing is STURDY. Zero concerns about my camera coming loose or unwanted arm flexing. If anything, be warned that adjusting the arm will take some serious effort, but completely worth it if you have nice gear at the end that you want locked in place.

Not sure why it was so hard to find such a sturdy mounting arm; if this is in your budget and its length is adequate, this is the mounting arm to get.
