5.0 out of 5 stars Works well, tougher than polyurethane, specific way to apply
Reviewed in the United States on December 26, 2019
Produced a very strong and absolutely clear glaze coat. Anyone who has used polyurethane or tung oil or any other common wood finish knows that all those finishes 'warm' or yellow the wood, even when they claim to be clear or even crystal clear. This epoxy truly does go on perfectly clear. I actually would have put a single coat or maybe two of tung oil next time to warm the color up but that is a matter of taste. Although they claim it can be used within 24 hours, I suggest no hard use for 1 week. I noticed it felt harder to the touch after a week compared to 24-48 hours. It is very very thick and has specific instructions...FOLLOW THEM. It is also temperature sensitive. It will get considerably thicker if it is cooler (aka a basement). Finally, make sure you have a blow torch or hair dryer or heat gun to get the bubbles out. It puts on an extremely thick coat, you can probably spread thinner if desired and get more coverage.

This stuff works well. Little messy but no big deal. I was putting this on a 3" thick slab of western larch that I milled for the mother in law. If I would have done it again I would have definitely painted on a coat first to seal up any cracks. I sat there with a torch popping bubbles for about an hour after pouring because they just kept coming out of the litte cracks and imperfections in the wood. Just expensive for what it is I thought...

5.0 out of 5 stars Easy to apply and looks great!
Reviewed in the United States on July 26, 2021
Used it on an outdoor surfboard decoration and I love the results. The product mixed very easily and application was a breeze. The epoxy dried to a super clear and shiny finish. No yellowing! My only concern, and I guess time will tell, is whether or not it turns yellow due to UV rays.

Update Aug 6, 2021 - the product has started to yellow slightly. The once white stripes are slightly yellow. Not a huge deal, but definitely something to be aware of if you will be using outdoors.
