Using this with my digital piano when I don't want to make myself heard by everyone in the house. Wireless solutions exist however, except for a few expensive options latency is usually a problem. There's no l latency with wired headsets. I use the cable because the headset wire is not long enough.

I am a Hosa cable fan, however, their quality can be hit and miss. Both Hosa and Amazon stand behind the products sold, so you can purchase without fear, unless you need the cable right away for a time sensitive project.

Out of 10 of these cables (purchased from Amazon and other sources) I have had 2 cables with a broken side (meaning only the left stereo channel worked) and 1 cable that was completely faulty. In all cases, I was able to quickly get a replacement.

Of the ones that were good, they have held up very well, been abused, rolled up, unrolled, and even stepped on. They hold up well under rough use.

No problems; good quality for money. Such cables are not as easy to find as you'd think. Few manufacturers are still supporting 1/4" phone plugs or the 1/4" phone jacks that used to be universally used for headphone connections. I used this to extend the reach of the stock cable on my NAD VISO HP50 headphones which come with a 4-foot cable with a 3.5 mm/1/8" TRS plug (the smart phone standard). Using this Hosa adaptor cable enables me to plug these headphones into once-standard 1/4" headphone jacks on my Oppo BDP-105/105D players and headphone amplifier.

3.5 mm TRS jack not the exact right size.

The 3.5 mm TRS jack is not the exact right size. When I plug my earbuds in, I was getting a mono signal. After working with the cable, I found that if I pushed the earbuds connector in too far, it would go mono. I have to back it off by about 1mm, and then it makes a stereo connection.

Other than that, the cable feels OK. We will see how long this lasts.

We use Aviom A-16II mixers for wired in-ear monitoring at our church. The Shure earbuds we use have short cords, so we need extenders to comfortably reach the mixers. We initially used 1/8" M/F extender cables and a 1/8"F to 1/4"M adapter to plug into the mixer, but that was weak, unstable, and caused signal problems. Having an extender with the sturdier 1/4"M plug gives a secure and reliable connection to the mixer, and doesn't get pulled loose by the weight of the cord. This is a much better solution, where Form Fits Function.
