The assembly went well, but now what?
The instructions are a bit ambigous, but I was able to put it together. Some of the holes I used to mount the spacers were arbitrary as I had a lot of choices. It also wasn’t clear that one of the plastic pieces that hold the motors fits in a notch and not through a hole. You can see in the photo showing a single motor how this goes on. The encoder wheels and the big tires were a little difficult to get lined up with the drive shaft, but once you get them right, they just snap on. The motors appear to be servo motors and no sensors or drive for the motors are included. So there is a major piece needed to make this a functional moving platform. There is noting to tell you how to connect the polarity to connect to the motors nor what sensors are required for the encoder. I will have to research what else is needed to go between a Raspberry Pi or an Arduino card and this chassis. For the money, this chassis is pretty good, but not a complete solution.
