Interesting story. I ordered the book because my father built many houses on the streets named in the book in the late 60's and early 70's, Still not clear on the killer.

I liked the review because I'm the author, Jan Meins. I appreciate the positive feedback as well as the constructive criticism. Thank you for taking the time to read my true crime book. I stopped writing after being widowed in 2000, and also after having a stroke during surgery in 2013. It has taken me years to feel passionate about writing again. I’ve recently finished a novel based on a crime that occurred in Arkansas years ago, and Fran Lebowitz is my developmental editor. She has given me such professional feedback I now feel energized again about writing. The title of the novel is Deepening Comes the Evil. According to Fran, it contains “powerful images” and is “an historical novel based on a true crime, a love story, a horror story, a psychological thriller, a detailed landscape drawing of Arkansas, of racism and of extra sensory perception between dimensions.” However, I have much work to complete prior to approaching a publisher, and I'm taking all of Fran's revision advice to heart.

I have not finished the book. I know how it ends and it was not so nice. Alice M was my doubles partner in tennis and my husband and I saw she and her husband socially. I had moved and got a call from my mother about the death of my friend. At one point they thought about shooting her on the tennis court as we played outside until the weather got bad. Had they of done that I do not know if I would be here or not.
