About the authors
Tessa Emily Hall is an award-winning author who wrote her debut novel when she was sixteen. She is now a multi-published author of Christian books for teenage girls, including her upcoming release, INFLUENCER. Her unwavering passion lies in inspiring young women to embrace their unique potential within God’s kingdom. Driven by her dedication to provide clean fiction for teens, she launched Illuminate YA Fiction in 2017—a teen fiction imprint formerly associated with LPC Books. Tessa is a former literary agent, as well as a regular writer for Crosswalk.com. She has contributed to publications such as Devozine, Guide Magazine, and Keys for Kids. When her ink-stained fingers aren’t dancing across the keyboard, Tessa can be found speaking to teens, teaching at writing conferences across the country, nurturing the creativity of young writers, acting in inspirational films, or indulging in lattes at cozy coffee shops in Nashville, TN. Her favorite way to procrastinate is to connect with readers on her mailing list, social media (@tessaemilyhall), and website: www.tessaemilyhall.com.
Katy Kauffman is an award-winning author, an editor of Refresh Bible Study Magazine, and a co-founder of Lighthouse Bible Studies. She graduated from Luther Rice Seminary with a BA in Religion, and she has taught the Bible to women and teens. Her Bible studies focus on winning life's spiritual battles.
Katy's online writing has been published on CBN, on Thoughts about God, and in digital magazines.
Her writing has also been published on three writing blogs. She enjoys connecting with writers and sharing tips for Bible-based writers in her newsletter called "The Lighthouse Connection." She also enjoys working with them to create compilations like Feed Your Soul with the Word of God, Collection 1, which is a Selah Awards finalist.
Katy loves spending time with family and friends, drawing and painting flowers, and doing yard work in the morning sun. She makes her home in the South.
Rosemarie Fitzsimmons is a Rhode Island native who left home at 17 to join the Marine Corps in 1979 for “just a few years,” because, despite dreams of becoming a writer like Laura Ingalls Wilder, she had no means to pay for college. It turned into a 20-year career.
She left the Corps and worked for the government until 2014, when she stepped off the career stage to recapture the joy of writing from her youth. As The Portrait Writer, she now writes about God’s touch in the lives of every-day heroes.
Rosemarie ghost-wrote her first book, "Caged Sparrow" in 2015. It is a true story that highlights how God’s mercy and power can change lives even when we’ve given up.
Her second book is the newly-released "From the Remnants," also a true story, about standing after life's tragedies knock us down.
Rosemarie lives with her husband, Jerry, in northern Virginia. They are new empty-nesters with two grown sons: Young Jerry and Charles, and a slightly unstable Egyptian Mau named Aslan.
Lauren Craft loves writing about how life in Christ is abundant life (John 10:10), filled with lasting purpose, eternal hope, and real love. She was born and raised in Virginia, where she still makes her home. Besides writing, Lauren also enjoys sharing the gospel in her town and abroad. Lauren is happily married to Thomas Craft. Why I Started Writing: I sprang from the womb as a logophile, a lover of words. Words dawned around me as artful things. They harmonized with my essence. As a child, I sketched the world in poetry. Story crafting became my playground. Writing printed its compulsion into my fingertips, perhaps engraved by a twist of my DNA. I sensed my call to write before I heard its clear whisper in my soul. Had I not known, trials could have stolen the joy and hope of my purpose. The universe continues to strike my eye as a lyrical wonder. I am thankful for the opportunity to invite you to frolic with me in word-scaped playgrounds. Let’s share the delight of stories, glimmers and hints of the poetic realms all around us.
