I absolutely love this Charcoal powder. It definitely has many beneficial uses. I mainly use it with my toothpaste and facial masks and I love it. Be careful when opening the product because it can spill and depending on what you're wearing can stain your clothes if not careful. Good product and worth buying.

Using it for homemades

I used it in homemade melt and pour facial soap that I added bentonite clay and finely ground Himalayan pink salt to. Nice combination for very oily skin. The soap I used is a cocoanut base. It helped balance out the concoction so it replaces just enough moisture.

I plan on adding it to my homemade toothpaste. I'm sure it will work well as I have purchased several charcoal toothpastes that work well.

I transferred it out of the bag it came in to a sealed jar for easier use. I put the jar in the sink and used a sheet of copy paper rolled into a cone and poured carefully avoiding breathing it in or making a mess. It does drift a bit but wipes up and rinses off surfaces fairly easily.

Also good to have on hand for emergencies.

I am using this along with diatomaceous earth daily. I take 1 tbsp of each with water first thing in the morning. The earth is a detox. The activated charcoal is to help my liver in getting rid of toxic waste (so it doesn’t have to work so hard).
The charcoal seems good, but I have a problem ingesting it ... I can only take about 1/4 tsp at a time with water (gag reflex if too large ) . Maybe I should mix it in the large glass of water with the earth so will be trying that next.

I use this mostly as a teeth whitener and was pleasantly surprised. It has no taste but gives the sensation of being slightly sweet. Had to get used to the nature of the beast though. It is black and requires a bit more intensive clean up but the positives offset. No chemical tastes during or after use, and absolutely no aftertaste. Does not "sour" the taste of your favorite drink immediately following use. Definitely gives a great clean feeling to the teeth and has cleaned some of the stains after only about a week of use.

I've used activated charcoal in the past with outstanding results. This isn't that stuff. This charcoal is very gritty and course. Chunks have actually gotten stuck in my teeth while brushing. And I'm supposed to swallow this glass? I think not. AC should be granulated super, super fine to the point of being a powder. This stuff is more like sand. It's not useless for whitening your teeth, but I've had better. MUCH better. Granted, this is no way near as messy as the good stuff, but I'd prefer the mess over ineffectiveness. I bought this brand because it was an 'Amazon Recommended' product. As a result, I now find their recommendations useless. Bottom line: I DON'T THINK THIS IS A QUALITY PRODUCT, I DOUBT IT'S ACTIVATED AND I REGRET PURCHASING IT.
