I can not say enough good things about this book!!! I truly loved it and could not put it down! (I started it last night and finished it this afternoon!) It definitely kept me wanting to know what happened next, and it was hard not to become emotionally attached to all of the characters and their personalities!!! It was great to see how each characters personality changed and grew through out the book!

There are some books that really stand out from the rest, that you don't want to leave down until you've finished them. This is one of those books. I've read a lot of fantasy books and this is as good as any of the best. If you like Brandon Sanderson or Robert Jordan you'll like this book.

Just finished Between the Light and Dark, and I absolutely loved it!

While I do see room for growth in your writing, it's a wonderfully solid first novel. I was intrigued right from the prologue, and thoroughly enjoyed the adventure of the first half. However, the story really began to shine in the latter half, and that is when I was fully emotionally engaged. I feel both the writing style and the characters and their plot really matured at that point, and the story truly came into it's own.

I fell in love with all of the characters (or loved to detest them, as the case may be) and there were some truly delightful twists to each of them, as well as the plot - I'm a seasoned enough reader that I gleaned some of the threads, but I'm delighted to say the nuances were perfectly delivered surprises that wove a fabulously engaging tapestry.

And my greatest praise is that you pulled off a true ending, leaving no loose thread to dangle, even the most minuscule, and I am very content with how each character was dealt with (noi'mnotcryingyourcrying). Yet there is still potential for a sequel to be added to the weaving, should you so choose.

tl;dr: It's a great story, and I hope to see you grow as an author for many years to come <3
