How to Measure your Revolver's Barrel LengthMeasure from the face of the cylinder all the way to the end of the barrel, as indicated here. Our holsters are offered in three lengths: Standard length holsters, which fit pistols with barrels from 4 - 6 inches in length, long holsters, which fit pistols from 6 - 8 inches in length, and extra-long holsters, which fit pistols from 8 - 10 inches in length. |
Standard BarrelSized for a standard frame revolver, and fits most barrel lengths 4 to 6 inches. |
Long BarrelSized for a standard frame revolver, and fits most barrel lengths 6 to 8 inches. |
Extra-Long BarrelSized for a standard frame revolver, and fits most barrel lengths 8 to 10 inches. |
How to Adjust your Holster
If you find that your pistol does not fit neatly into the holster, you can adjust the shape of the holster opening for a better fit.
Built into the body of the holster, (between the leather layers,) there is an integrated steel frame which can be bent with pressure on the sides or ends.
After bending, it should hold its new shape.
Holster is too round, pistol is loose
|
|
|
---|---|---|
If the holster mouth is too CIRCULAR, and your pistol feels loose and will not slide down far enough, |
Press down on the side of the Holster to make the opening more oval |
|
Holster is too flat, pistol is tight
|
|
|
---|---|---|
If the holster mouth is too FLAT, and tight against the sides of the pistol frame, |
Squeeze the ends to widen the opening. |

However, it smelled so strange my wife had me put it on the porch for a few days.
Saddle soap is a great thing, in MODERATION.
Pictured with my 22 cal. Double nine. And the color matched perfectly.

Aside from all that, the holster is sturdy and solid, and I have no complaints about the materials or workmanship. And it IS useable, just a bit less secure with the SAA than I'd like.
Even the ones from Historical Emporium are mostly for costume. Will see how long it last in cowboy action shooting matches but so far so good.
