Disappointed, Wanted to Love
*****Edit*****After using for a little over a month the stitching from the zipper is already coming apart at the seam, I have washed it in a garment bag but unfortunately that didn't help. For what I paid I'd expect a little higher quality. Extremely disappointed as my first review when I got it I loved it. Now I'm second guessing if it's really worth the price for the use. My larger traditional pregnancy pillow that I washed weekly and was a hand-me-down from my sibling through a pregnancy already has held up better than this has and it was cheaper 🙄I was on the fence purchasing this pillow and I wish I would have done it sooner! I got it when I was about 6 1/2 months pregnant and it works perfectly for me. Before buying this pillow I was using one of the traditional big and bulky c shaped pregnancy pillows. I could never get comfortable with it, still ended up rolling around on my back, didn't feel like it supported my growing belly, and it took up so much room in our queen sized bed that neither my husband or I could get a good night's sleep. Fast forward to when I bought this, I read reviews where other women made me question if it would be too small for me. I'm 5'2 and currently 185 pounds while 6 1/2 months pregnant. However I fit perfectly in this side sleeper with room to grow and it supports my belly and I think it will until my due date. I don't roll around and end up on my back anymore and there is a ton of space in our bed once again. Do yourself a favor and buy this pillow!

This works very well for me. I wanted support for side sleeping (and occasional back sleeping/resting), and this pillow helps with that. I also like that the cover is washable. A couple of pointers: If you are not that slim in the waist area, I think you'd have trouble using this under your back while lying on your back or propped up in a semi-seated position on your back. There may not be enough space between the two pillows for your body, so you'd be lying on top of the pillows instead of with them hugging each side gently.

The way I most like to use it is when I'm sleeping on my side, to support my back and belly at the same time. I like that the pillows are not simply round or square--they taper up somewhat from the inside. For me, this was necessary to support my midsection during pregnancy without pushing on my belly to the point where I'd wake up in discomfort and realize I had been compressing my stomach for a long period of time. This pillow is also pretty firm, whereas some Boppy pillows are not.

Something you may run into is if you have it too far up the bed (and too far up your back), and you lie on your back at times in bed, it may cause you to arch your back while you sleep on it, resulting in pain during the night or in the morning. Just keep the pillow farther down in the bed or recliner, and you should be okay. For me, this is the main issue, but it's not a huge one.

Overally, good pillow, and VERY compact--great for people sleeping with covers and/or partners and possibly other pillows. It won't necessarily be the only pillow in your bed when you're pregnant, but it can certainly support your back and belly while you sleep, and it works better (I think) than towels or full-size pillows.

UPDATE: I've used this pillow during pregnancy and also at other times of abdominal or back discomfort or illness. I even used it for a while to make up for an old, bad mattress that was hurting back, before we replaced it. I still love its washability and do wash the pillows (rarely) and cases (on occasion). The pillows haven't gotten too squished over time and still work well when I need them.

This uniquely shaped pillow has been a great companion throughout the past two months of my pregnancy bedrest! I’m so glad I purchased it!!

I have to admit though that I have not really used it for its intended purpose. I originally bought it to help force me to sleep on my side while pregnant, since I kept waking up on my back and was concerned about that. But I haven’t really used it for that. Instead it’s been so helpful and so comfortable in so many other ways while I’m confined to bed 24/7.

I use it as a foot rest to prop my feet up on. Some nights I wrap my legs around it or prop one side of the pillow between my knees and that just makes side sleeping so much more enjoyable and comfortable.

And it is WONDERFUL as a back rest!! When I want extra cushion to prop myself up on when eating or reading or watching TV in bed, this is perfect. I prop a couple large pillows up on the headboard and then place this pillow in front of them and just sink back into it. Very comfortable reclining! If I’m having lower back pain, I just stuff it behind me right on the painful area and it provides great support and eases the back strain.

It’s almost hard to explain all the ways you can use it (without showing you with photos) but if you buy one, you’ll quickly see what I mean. The softness and flexibility and unique shape of it just makes it perfect to twist and form in a variety of ways for a variety of uses. I’ve even used it as an elbow rest and a lap desk for my laptop.

If you’re pregnant or confined to bed for any reason, I really do think you would benefit from this pillow! Even if, like me, you don’t use it to sleep on your side, you will very likely find other uses for it and it will be a great bed companion for you, too.

I bought this pillow because I needed to break the habit of ending up on my back when I wake up in the morning. Ever since I found out I was pregnant, I've made sure to sleep on my left side...just to lock in the habit before back sleeping became an absolute no-no. I was only successful staying on my side about a third of the time on my own. I reviewed a lot of pillows and decided to give this one a go. I am only 14 weeks along, so I didn't need an enormous amount of support yet, and the pricing on this pillow is so good.

I wish I could give this 3.5 stars because I'm torn. For sleeping, I hate this pillow. Maybe it doesn't work as well when you don't have a big bump, but I'm a pretty petite person to begin with and I felt trapped AND it made my back HURT. I couldn't sleep through the night with it, it ended up on the floor every time. I thought maybe I needed to give it more time to get used to it, but it got to the point where I couldn't fall asleep because I was so uncomfortable with it. I also still ended up on my back at one point with it around me...probably because I was so uncomfortable on my side. It felt like I had a really hard lump pushing against my back and belly (even though the pillows are soft).

I'm giving it 3 stars because I LOVE lounging with it. I didn't realize I wasn't 100% comfortable lounging on our couch until I started sitting with this (with the two pillows on either of my sides, arms resting on it a bit). Even though I'm only at 14 weeks, I guess I already need extra support when sitting. For this, it works great and I'll be keeping it for that reason and maybe try sleeping with it once I'm further along.

5.0 out of 5 stars Want tummy support? Buy this pillow
Reviewed in Canada on May 26, 2020
I borrowed my friend's U-shaped huge body pillow wanting to have tummy support. Her pillow is shaped for tummy support on one side but straight on the other. Worked great when you tuck on up and ready to fall asleep, but when you roll over it untucks and isn't tight all around and honestly just gets annoying. This wasn't great for me when changing positions at night.
THIS pillow has been perfect. Arrived earlier than expected date and it's exactly what I needed, stays put and tight and it also somewhat prevents you from sleeping on your back which you should try and avoid during your third trimester. Guys just buy it, seriously it's so small if you don't like it at least not half the size of your bed monster-sized pillow.

5.0 out of 5 stars Not too bulky, good support both front and back
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on February 1, 2021
I am a back sleeper so learning to sleep on my side is hard. I tried a one sided full body pillow and I tried using normal pillows at my back to prevent me from rolling over but they didn't work and were too bulky. I love this pillow because it provides great support both front and back and it is not too bulky. I also use a normal feather pillow in between or under my legs. If you do want to go on your back for a bit then the pillow still props you up so you feel like you are on your back but you are not flat, therefore less restricting of the blood flow. The boppy brand is popular in the US and therefore I trusted it despite ti not being popular in the UK. This was also delivered much quicker than the stated time. I would definitely recommend this pillow for back sleepers.

We needed to get a compact pregnancy pillow as all others leave little to no room for the partner in bed. This pillow does its job and is comfortable, letting my pregnant get better sleep. Item arrived quickly and was keenly used.

5.0 out of 5 stars Comfortable
Reviewed in Canada on August 6, 2018
I was looking for a small pregnancy pillow, and when I saw this, I knew it was what I've been looking for. Even my husband tried it! The cover comes off and is washable (which I did the moment I decided to keep it). The pillows' support is quite good, and it has room for my belly to grow even more (since I'm still in my second trimester).

Update: I'm in my third trimester (two weeks before the due date!), and the pillow is still as comfortable as it was before. Ever since I started using it, I can't sleep without it. If you're pregnant and looking for a small support pillow that doesn't take that much space, this is for you. :)
