Breaking the Seventh Kindle Edition
Did I mention he's naked? And I've never seen the guy before in my life! So why is he doing the backstroke in my neighbor's pool?
Myles Bellamy may be a walking wet dream, but turns out he's got the temperament of a bull shark. And yet every time I clash with the new next-door Neanderthal, I find myself fantasizing about all the dirty things he could do to me. Really dumb on my part, considering the timing...
She's certifiably nuts.
I'm not kidding. That chick is wonkier than Willy's chocolate factory. Between her head-banging music, smoke alarms going off during séances and the dog I'm pretty sure she trained to crap on my lawn, I'm about ready to give Leah Whitfield a piece of my mind. Or better yet, a piece of me. Because every time I catch her sunbathing in that barely-there bikini, my resolve turns to dust.
And her excuse for turning me down? Her birthday's coming up. According to Leah's weird and warped logic, that day is supposedly cursed.
See what I mean? I can't even...

About the author

Born and raised in rural Alabama, Allie Gail currently resides in the panhandle of Florida with her schmexy blue-eyed hubby, where they are currently being held hostage by a crabby gray entity disguised as a cat. (If you’re reading this – send help! Oh, and tuna. Send lots of tuna.) Always an obsessive reader, she took to her keyboard on a whim back in 2012 and hasn’t stopped pecking away since. Romance is her genre of choice, though she does harbor a soft spot for paranormal.
When she isn’t busy obsessing over the lexicon of her latest project, Allie can usually be found snuggled up to her hubby watching cheesy B-movie horror, helping out with the family business or playing online RPG games while indulging her hopeless addiction to Tootsie Rolls.
In other words, she’s a total nerd.
Don’t fault her that, though. Her paladin will someday save the world. Or at the very least, have an awesome set of matching plate armor.
Connect with her at http://www.facebook.com/alliegailauthor or follow Allie on Twitter at http://twitter.com/alliegailauthor.
She would love to hear from you!

- Reviewed in the United States on April 29, 2020This is two books in one wrapper (cover, I mean). The first book is Leah's story. She meets her new neighbor and there are fireworks. Not the good kind. She had no idea her neighbors sold their house; and when she went to use their pool, she clashed with Myles, her new neighbor. It's an enjoyable story. Leah is a really fun character. I enjoyed the banter between her and Myles. Good dialogue. The second book is equally good. This one is the story of Shane, Leah's stepbrother, and Melanie, Leah's friend. The banter in this one is good, too. I love great dialogue. These books are full of great dialogue. Loved them.
- Reviewed in the United States on December 26, 2017I really enjoyed Leah and Myles' story. The banter and exchange between them was hot, funny and sexy.
When Myles moves in next door to Leah, the fireworks start on both their parts. Leah has a sharp tongue and a sharper wit, and Myles is a wicked, deep voiced seducer. I loved them both so much.
The attraction between the two builds and I enjoyed how they interacted with one another and the way the author kept me hanging with suspense of would they or wouldn't they become friends to lovers.
Very enjoyable read.
- Reviewed in the United States on September 21, 2017I'm not finished reading this book yet, all because I cannot stop laughing and wiping my eyes! Allie Gail has a gift of sarcasm and writing about every day trials and tribulations. The characters are warm, friendly, REAL. I love how she brings things full circle (so far) and can't wait to finish it. Give me another hour and that will happen! Chapter 17 is a hoot! I needed this laugh today. Thank you for this story. I finished it and loved, again, how you made it come full circle.
- Reviewed in the United States on May 12, 2019This book is just an average romance for me. It has it's ups and downs. The year old Leah was endearing and my heart broke for her. Adult Leah was different. I don't know if I could have been around her much.
- Reviewed in the United States on December 28, 2017This book turned out to be incredibly funny and surprisingly poignant...not to mention very sexy. The characters just jump off the pages and grab hold of the reader. I loved every minute I spent within the pages. Highly recommend.
- Reviewed in the United States on March 12, 2017This is an absolute gem of a book it's funny, actually it's hilarious but it's also sweet yet sad in places.
It opens when Leah is 10 years old, it's her birthday and she's waiting not so patiently for her mum to get home from work so they can go to Sea World. This birthday is going to be the best she just knows it, parties haven't worked out that well for her in the past so this is a fresh start birthday wise. While she's waiting for her mother we get the highlights or should that be lowlights on some of her birthday disasters. The problem is Leah's mother chooses this day of all days to pack up and leave without a word to anyone leaving poor Leah on her birthday looking out of the window and dreaming of Sea World.
As the years go by not only Leah but all her family and friends grow to believe in her birthday curse and as a result she sequesters herself away on that day to suffer in silence.
I enjoyed this book so much it had me laughing to the point of tears on several occasions especially Leah's first meeting with Myles, her first Brazilian and .... oh the list just goes on and on.
From the blurb you'll have gathered that Leah is effervescent and completely nuts so when grumpy yet gorgeous Myles moves in next door sparks are bound to fly. The more time these two spend together the more attracted they become to each other but Leah knows she has to keep Myles at arms length at least until after her birthday but Myles is equally determined to prove to Leah that she's not cursed.
This book is hilarious and I'm seriously going have to check out other books from this author, it's taken me days to read this partly due to real life getting in the way but mainly because I generally do most of my reading in bed and I couldn't with this because I was laughing too much it was driving my husband crazy.
Because I've been so long reading this I'd forgotten it included an additional book so I was surprised when the epilogue appeared about half way in but that's my fault.
I will add that I very rarely give 5* but this book came very very close.
- Reviewed in the United States on December 23, 2017I thought this book was amazing. It made you want to read it straight through to the end . It was so funny I would laughter out loud and read parts of the book to my husband. It was also a very heart warming story that I did not want to see end ! I love it !

5.0 out of 5 stars Feisty, sexy, funny, fun HEA
I loved this book!
A feisty, hilarious, quirky heroine meets hot but grumpy neighbour with immediate attraction. Flirtation, teasing and red hot sex follow.
It’s an easy read, compelling by its nature of comedy and genuine likeability of the well rounded characters.
Can’t wait to see what else this author has penned.

5.0 out of 5 stars Learning of yin and yang.
A young woman, Leah, who felt her birthday was cursed, due due a lot of weird and bad things occurring on that date, is proved wrong by her new neighbor. This neighbor, Myles, gets off on the wrong foot with Leah, when she uses his pool, not realizing that the property had been sold, and she no longer had rights to use the facilities.
The backstory is fascinating, as it is how the walk out by a mother on her daughter's 8th birthday, has caused the child to distort the calamities that occur on a daily basis, to that of a curse for that particular date.
A very involved and at times amusing story.

4.0 out of 5 stars Worth reading.
This is a standalone romance novel with a HEA that forms part of a series with overlapping characters. The best bit about it is the banter between the the main two characters as they get to know each other. There is also some well written sexy flirting going on between them too. Once they are 'together' though it just becomes your average romance novel with sex scenes thrown in.
The secondary characters and the back stories of the h&H are a strength of the novel. I'd love to hear more about 'Soapy'- perhaps a future book could be about him?
