I'm always prepared for last-minute photoshoots! The 12" Litedisc fits perfectly in my "daily" camera bag (aka Kelly Moore B-Hobo). This compact reflector adds a nice pop of catchlight in the eyes and fills in shadows on my subjects face quite nicely. I think I'll purchase another to keep in my heavy-duty rolling camera bag.
This is a great, compact little reflector that I've carried with me virtually all of the time...infrequently used but you never know when you need a little kicker of light, principally on wildflower type shots (single blooms or tight clusters). The soft gold is quite universal and the white is for more subtle lighting. Good while it lasts.
Do keep your receipt for warranty purposes. My reflector started shedding tiny silver specks at 3-4 years. Photoflex agreed that the serial# was within the warranty period and pics sent to them evidenced reflective surface failure but they HAD to have the receipt as evidence....received as gift from my son. Not a big deal for a $15 item, but the principle is bothersome. Worse, the discovery was made after handling the reflector AND the camera with specks not only all over my hands but over the camera as well. Can you imagine if I'd opened up the camera to change lenses, ie specks in the sensor chamber. I'll have to think real long and hard about whether I'd purchase, as I HAD intended, to get a replacement let alone larger, pricier versions. If I do, it will probably be another brand.
