I tested this with 2 of my family's Samsung Note 4 phones. I enabled QC 2.0 on both Note 4 phones and saw that both phones increased about 35% battery in 20 min. That's as fast as the Samsung QC 2.0 charger at home. This car charger will be very useful for individuals or families with multiple QC 2.0 devices. The purpose of QC 2.0 is to quickly charge your devices in as little time as possible, and in most cases your car driving may not be long trips. Getting a quick and substantial battery boost in your 30 minute drives is great before you get to your next destination.
Also tested this with my non QC 2.0 devices (iPhone 6, iPad Air, Samsung Galaxy S tablet) and they charged properly as well. So that's reassuring to know this charger can charge at fast QC 2.0 speeds if you need it to but is also fully compatible with regular USB charged devices that are not QC 2.0 enabled.
The size is about the same length and slightly wider than the regular Anker PowerDrive car charger with 2 regular (non QC 2.0 ports). I've attached some photos for comparison. Obviously the QC 2.0 technology requires more circuitry, thus the slightly larger size. All of my QC 2.0 home chargers are slightly larger than non QC 2.0 chargers as well. The build is very well made and assembled and should last you a very long time.
This is a great product, very powerful for two QC 2.0 devices, and is built by a reputable company in Anker.
I was supplied a sample for test and evaluation, and I promised that my review is fair and honest
Anker's first-class customer service group provided a refund, so no complaint there.
My solution to this problem is this RAVPower charger: USB Car Charger RAVPower 24W 4.8A Metal Dual Car Adapter for S9 / S8 / S7 / S6 / Edge / Plus, Note 5 / 4 , LG, Nexus, HTC with iSmart 2.0 Tech - Black Even though the RAVPower is shorter, its pointed nose allows a reliable contact to be made in my two Mazdas described above. I expect it will work in the CX-9, too.
Otherwise, the two chargers provide similar features, and one subtle difference. Neither provides the latest and fastest charging Power Delivery, or Qualcomm charging solutions, but they both provide a solid 2.4 amp charge current from each USB jack. I recommend a high quality USB charging cable to take advantage of all these units can deliver.
The subtle difference is this. My 2017 CX-5 has two accessory sockets, one on the dash and one inside the storage compartment between the two front seats. They differ in that the dash socket power is switched off when the ignition is off (like most late model cars), while the storage compartment socket is always powered. This can be useful if you wish to charge your phone after you've reached your destination without putting the ignition switch in the "accessory" mode. This allows phone charging without current draw by the infotainment center and other accessories. The question that arises is, "If a charger is powered at all times, should I be concerned with current it may use when I have no cell phone attached?" I measured the current for the engineers out there - the Anker unit uses 20.8 mA, and the RAVPower a mere 8.4 mA. I would guess that the main current usage is the blue LEDs each uses to allow you to find the USB ports at night. Bear in mind that your car has other "always live" systems using battery capacity, such as the locking and security systems. A very rough calculation indicates that the Anker by itself could use 10% of the car battery capacity in around 12 days if the car is not driven, while the RAVPower would take a month. So the RAVPower wins here. In any event, if you know you won't drive for many days, just pull the charger out of any always-powered socket.
Some also express a concern about a powered charger being inside an enclosed space such as the storage compartment, or otherwise presenting a safety hazard. This doesn't worry me, since the car circuit is fused against a short circuit in the charger, and there is little if any heat generated from the unit. Of course, for maximum possible safety, you should remove any charger, especially from an always powered accessory socket, when not in use.

It charges our phones (Samsung S20 FE, Samsung A51) really fast. Never had an issue with it.
It feels very sturdy in the socket, very well made.
To be honest it just did what it was supposed to and very well for a long time. Definitely recommended.
