    As a woman who married at 23 and still has single friends - this definitely helped me relate to my still single friends. It's like reading someone else's diary - and who isn't nosy like that! Elizabeth is honest about her feeings but her sense of humor and optimism shines through - you can see the growth of the character throughout this story, leading to a satisfying ending! Definitely recommend!

    This is an equal parts laugh-out-loud funny, touching and insightful look at what it's REALLY like to be a single, childless professional woman in her late 30s and 40s ... even 50s! The puzzled and often rude comments by friends and family on your perpetually single status, the nightmare dates with men who should not be wandering loose in polite society -- and the loneliness and uncertainty of a future without the comfort of a life partner and children. It's all there, You will feel like Ms. Knachel has read your diary -- it's all there. So, open a bottle of wine, pop some popcorn, put on your flannel jammies (cause you're single and you can) and enjoy "I'm Single, Not Dead" like a visit from an old friend.
