My name is Bernadette Butler. I have had many different jobs in my life time that have taught me about myself and building relationships with others. Each unique and challenging, data entry, advocate for parents with disable children in the public school system, served two terms on the Moreno Valley School Board in California, 1994 California State Woman of the Year, flight attendant for 10 years, and now a school crossing guard. I have had an adventure. My passion has always been to write the story about my oldest son who have Autism. During the 1970's no one knew about the disorder. My life lessons in learning what is really love, was taught to me by God blessing me with my son Melvin.

I learned the meaning of unconditional love and the blessing in forgiveness. When I look back at our life I wouldn't change anything. I realized that I was not alone God's footprints were all around me.

This has motivated me to volunteer my time as a reader at a children home and help at a program called Take A Break. This program give parents with disable children to have four hours of free time.
