Found in Kitsap Kindle Edition

3.6 3.6 out of 5 stars 2 ratings

"Found in Kitsap" is an anthology of photos developed from a collection of over 75 found cameras, each accompanied by its own short story or poem. All the photos were found undeveloped inside of cameras that had been donated to thrift stores in Kitsap County, Washington.

Told in a variety of styles and voices, these stories and photos present a “day in the life” of the residents of this small, working-calss county. Each story allows us to imagine the hopes and dreams, the fears and disappointments, the successes and loves of both the people who took the photos and those captured in them.

My journey to become a storyteller had a unique beginning – when I was six I broke my family’s TV… and we never got another one. My parents decided there were better ways for a child to be entertained. So instead I read encyclopedias, explored the woods, and played with LEGOs. Everyday I exercised my imagination as I learned to tell my own stories.

In school, I excelled in math and science, entering college two years early. But it was a TV production class that inspired me the most and led me to pursue a career in filmmaking.

With this goal in mind, I moved to San Francisco where I studied Cinema and Digital Art. In three years I made over 20 short films and graduated Magna Cum Laude. Then it was on to my current home, Los Angeles. Since arriving I've worked as an extra, grip, editor, falconer, writer, and director.

If I wasn’t telling stories I’d be doing something involving snowboarding, cooking, or politics. Follow along with my work at my website, http://www.lukeasa.com or Twitter, http://twitter.com/lukeguidici.
