I am in my third year teaching AP Psychology, and this is my first year using the Strive for 5 Study Guide. My students really like this book. They use it to take notes as I present lectures in class. There is a study guide for each and every module and unit from the text. The module study guides contain guiding questions, application questions, and graphic organizers for all of the key information right in line with how it is presented in the text. Each module and unit ends with a set of review questions, which provide a great review and application of the material. There are 2 full practice AP Exams at the back of the book along with an AP Exam information section. There are no answers provided INSIDE the book, to prevent students from just copying answers. Answers are available, however, to licensed AP Psychology teachers through the Myers Companion Website at BFW.

Don't buy this book! The book is supposed to assist the student as he/she proceeds through the textbook by providing practice multiple choice and free response questions and worksheets. At the end of the book there are two practice tests. Incredibly there are NO answers to the multiple choice questions or the AP practice tests or sample responses to the free response questions!!!! How can the student determine his/her readiness for the AP without ANY feedback? This is the second year I have taught AP Psychology and I believe this is the poorest of the AP Psychology study practice books because of this flaw.

Students read text, then look at this for fill in the blank practice. Only practices lower-level recall which can be done by implementing much cheaper alternatives. I sent it back and was pretty disappointed.

Actually, I previewed the book and because it only aligns with the new Myer's book and not the 2011 edition I cannot use it. The 2011 edition does not use modules. Howeve,r there are many guides out there and Baron's is one of them that do not cost this much money. Steps to a Five is also a good book filled with mc questions and the answers as well as why that is the answer. Although I enjoy the MYer's book this just seems like another way to make money if not it could be a lot more accessible.
