I used this to charge an auxillary battery bank on a tow truck. Mount this unit where there is air flowing...its metal body is a heat sink. It will last longer if you do.

Works exactly as advertised. I couldn't find the source of my battery draining on my car. It was drawing about an amp from somewhere and the battery would go dead overnight. Mechanic wanted $$$ to "maybe" find the problem. Not worth it on an old car. I installed this between battery and the positive terminal (electrically not physically) and put a switch to control it on my dash board. Works well and my battery stays charged. I just have to remember to turn it off when I get out of the car, but I just leave the headlights on all the time to remind me.

I used it to run the ON position of my truck key switch. It's a bit overkill for the application but it works well and overkill is always better than underkill. It is normally open for those who want to know. The middle two studs are the the coil and the two opposite of each other are the power in and out.

I was having a problem with the way my work van was wired for the air conditioner. It was causing the fuse panel to get extremely hot and my mechanic said I needed to get it set up with a relay so that the relay carried the load and the fuse panel only switched the relay on or off. I installed this relay and have had zero problems with the fuse panel getting even mildly warm any longer.

Being used as a groundbreaker kill switch in my project car and it does it's job perfectly. If this holds up for a year or so I'll probably go 5 stars but for now let's stock with 4.

Pros: the click on connection when triggered or turned off by my remote switch is audible from the rear driver side door of the car and the battery is located in the passenger side of the trunk. The connection is solid and does exactly what is asked of it. I left it engaged overnight and while I was at work the next day and while the solenoid did get pretty hot, it didn't burn out.

Cons: it does get warm enough that it would hurt children or people that haven't routinely burned themselves doing stupid projects like welding, soldering, or even just working in kitchens. So keep fleshy bits away when it had been activated for any period of time.

They are just what we needed to finish are RV . It's really bad when you have an RV mobile repair come & installed 2 a week ago we going out again. It seem to me that they just put a auto one on. I found that you need to have one's like We bought from you. continuous use they seem to think the regular Automotive work they come brand new with him that's what causes a lot of fires in them put the right ones on like these and you will have no problem

Got this to switch the starter battery in parallel with my house batteries when the RV is going down the road. It is probably overkill for this, but works very nicely and I can even use it to start the generator if for some reason the house batteries fail. Seems to be a much more solid unit than a lot of the other relays I looked at.
