If I had to lodge one complaint it would be that the USB charger ports are located on the bottom of the power strip. Our charger cables are only 3ft long, hence why I had to mount this strip upside down on the wall. If the ports were located near the top of the strip I could have mounted the strip right side up which might have looked a bit better. I'm not taking a star away however as this strip is well built and functions great. The position of the USB charger ports are only a minor inconvenience.
This strip also has a flat power plug which provides a great low profile on the wall outlet. While this wasn't a selling point for us personally, I imagine that many would find it appealing, especially if you are plugging this strip in to a wall outlet that is located behind a piece of furniture.
If you are not DIY inclined, a word of advice. Use a blank sheet of copy paper to create a template for the hole pattern. Then tape the template to the wall, so you can drill/screw the screws into the correct position for mounting.
Other than that the right angled wall plug is awesome, the included USB ports charge phones and tablets quickly, the wall cord is very long, and the included insurance against surges makes this a great deal. I'm going to order more for other rooms of the house.
For Christmas, we bought her a Kindle Fire and smart TV for her bedroom. Everything was going good until she realized she was out of outlets. I really didn't know what kind of surge protector she was using and asked if it had USB plugs on it. She said yeah. Those were not USB plugs, they were old telephone wire plugs. So, I threw this in right before Christmas and she now charges her iPhone and her Kindle in the USB slots, which has also opened up a free outlet for her as well. Everything seems to work well. I will tell you from my own experience that the USB slots won't charge near as fast as a USB cord plugged into an AC adapter, but if you're like we are, you just plug your devices up to charge before going to bed. Using the USB slots in this manner will charge both a phone and Kindle to 100% overnight. Price is a little higher than we paid, must have been a Lightning Deal, but it's worth anything under twenty dollars.
[UPDATE]
After having lived with this surge supressor for a few months to only thing I have noticed is that it will not charge two high power devices at one time. Of course it does say that it will only charge at 2.1A so this is not surprising and it does not change my opinion of the supressor.
The only indicator light is a small green led to show the status of the surge protection. It's not overly bright, which I appreciate as I've tried to block off lights in my room at night. Overall, the power strip seems very well built and looks nice enough to sit out in my bedroom.
My only complaint is that there are no transformer-spaced outlets. All 6 AC outlets are right next to eachother so if you have a power transformer, it will hog up at least 2 AC outlets. Some modern horizontal power adapters will block 3 or more AC outlets unless you plug it in on the end of the strip.
But for $10-15, you can't beat the features, quality, and price of this power strip. I'd buy it again.

I would recommend CyberPower products at a decent price as they make very good surge protector products.
It's a fairly costly extension cord but has many great features. The plugs face left to right instead of up to down like many extension bars. The added USB chargers are nice as well and can charge up to 1.2 amps.
Our bar has been used for everything from air conditioning (1100w), to a charging station for cameras and cell phones (700w) and finally staying at the entertainment center (tv, xbox one, and xbox 360.). No issues. It's a bit more costly than a walmart bar but it works well and is a great quality product for an alright price.
