I found this Oxygen Sensor on Amazon at almost less than 1/3 the cost of the Manufacturer's version and almost 1/2 the price of a local auto part store's.
The Oxygen Sensor:
1. Fit perfectly
2. Had the correct length cord
3. Installed Easily
4. Worked Perfectly
Only positives comments regarding this product! Buy it if you need it, you won't go wrong!
Anyhow, if you’re running into an O2 sensor issue it’s recommended to change out both upstream and downstream sensors. Meaning if either sensor on bank 1 is bad, change both sensors 1 and 2. So that you can save your catalytic converter from going out. It also helps sending the correct information back to your computer to get an optimized outcome. Just imagine that your new sensor is collecting and sending the correct signals, while your older (but good) sensor is off by just so much. Your computer will recalculate and send the wrong outputs.
Recommended sensor for bank 1 sensor 1 is Denso 234-4626, which I also bought and replaced.
Please do the O2 sensors yourself!!!! You’ll save a ton of money! Rent the “OEM” brand O2 sensor tool and a 1/2” 2 foot breaker bar from Autozone for FREE and do it yourself.
It’s packaged with the complete sensor with the correct plug and anti-siege lube. So no splicing or soldering here. It’s plug and play, if you can’t figure it out then there’s an issue. Just remember, the longer one goes to the bottom one if you’re replacing both sensors.
Instructions:
Unplug both O2 connectors by pushing down on the clip and slowly pull them apart. Don’t force it since the plastic parts are about 15 years old and can be brittle. Next, spray some PB blaster if you have it, if not just warm up your car to normal temps and let sit for 5 mins. Then get cranking on the O2 sensor with the tool and breaker bar. Remember that your exhaust manifold or headers are still hot, so don’t burn yourself. Once off, put the lube all around the sensor threads and screw it back on. Not a 100% on torque specs, but it should be like putting the oil plug back on. Don’t over torque, just enough that it’s hand tightened without using force or putting your back into it.
Afterwards:
I cleared all the codes and it's running strong again. I'm getting slightly better fuel mileage and I have no complaints.
