I highly recommend this product for your on-camera microphone(s).
It also isn't particularly well fitted to individual cameras. I have a Z6 and the circles are way too large, so there's no good way to get them on there without partially obscuring the indicators on the knob. On my previous camera, which has a popup flash, I'm guessing it'd be worse.
For sound, yeah, it blocks the wind noise for the msot part. Better than stock for sure. So if you're too lazy to track down the fabric, like me, go for it. It'll make wind noise less. But we'll have to say this is a pretty high profit margin item.
The only exception is one time I had the camera on a monopod (selfie stick) out the car window. That wind ended up being a bit too boisterous for the windscreens, but even then, it was much less than what you'd expect from a situation like that.
I think they're priced about $6 too high, but they do the job as described.
