About the author
Jan Underwood is the author of two magical realist novels, Fault Lines (2021) and Utterly Heartless (2013), as well as two collections of short stories, The Bell Lap (2016), and Day Shift Werewolf (2005). Underwood has lived in six countries and draws inspiration from many settings as well as from other artists and thinkers. She likes to play with genre: her work includes elements of fantasy, science fiction, and satire, and often employs humor to explore serious topics.
