Beyond the Lie (A Dark Order Novel Book 3) Kindle Edition
When you learn your whole life has been a lie, who can you turn to? Who can you trust to help you make things right again?
Drakkar Dragoni has led a sheltered life as the only son of the exiled Princess, Absinthe Dragoni, a fate they both were cast into when her half-brother, Jared Bonatelli, stole the kingdom which was rightfully hers. To his mother, humans are nothing more than cattle bred to nourish their kind. Drakkar was nurtured with the lies and venom she fed him.
Serenity Avery is a young witch in training who wants nothing more than to follow in her mother’s footsteps and join the ranks of the Dark Order’s Conservatorship. When she happens upon a disoriented vampire in the middle of the night, her first mission is presented to her—expose him and his mother’s newest scheme so they can be neutralized.
But what if none of it is true? What if Drakkar is nothing more than a pawn in Absinthe’s game of chess?
Will Serenity be able to save him before it’s too late?
Or will Drakkar be lost Beyond the Lie?

About the author

Sandra Bischoff is a Paranormal/Fantasy Romance author living in the historic town of Cornwall, NY. She has always enjoyed dabbling in storytelling. Creative writing was an emotional outlet during her school years but it wasn’t until after her son was born that opportunity struck. A friend approached her to write in a forum on a popular networking website. That was when her passion had found its niche.
Her debut novel, Beyond the Sun, started out as a short story created for the forum but quickly evolved into something else. That was how Jared Bonatelli and a Vampire’s Camelot were born.
The second book in this series entitled Beyond Time quickly followed just in time for the Romantic Times Convention in New Orleans. Lance’s story is one very close to her heart. It draws from an obsession with everything King Arthur and Camelot. You witness him go through a period of self-discovery that spans two different time periods.
She recently released a collection sampler containing chapters from each novel as well as her third book, Drakkar Beyond the Lie. This novel continues the world of my Dark Order of the Dragon series. There are many more books planned for this series as well as another time travel to bring a Knight of Camelot to present day New York.

- Reviewed in the United States on May 5, 2017I absolutely love this series and this new installation did not disappoint. I began this book with the expectation that I would not like the main character based on previous books. However, Drakkar quickly became one of my favorite characters of the series. I love the unique twist that the author puts on a classic story. The author is not afraid to explore complex characters who experience life changing trials. This book contains the perfect villain and plenty of action. I enjoy the paranormal romance genre and this book/series certainly suits my tastes. I did notice a few editing issues that could use attention, but they were not serious enough to distract from the story. I highly recommend this series.
- Reviewed in the United States on January 6, 2017.. I LOVED THIS BOOK, but I need to read it again so I can give you all the goodness..
So i finally sat down and read this book. Let me tell you!!
Drakkar is so loveable, you simply can't resist him. The way the author introduces you to him and his tumultuous life just makes you want to give him a hug.
Sandra has done a great job and by great job I mean putting my emotions in a blender and then giving it back to me. Like here figure your feelings out.
I love the series but Drakkar totally is my fave. Sorry Lance you've been replaced.
- Reviewed in the United States on March 20, 2017I could not put this book down! It pulled me in from page one and got better by the chapter. The characters were well-developed, with interesting backstories. I hope that the author decides to write more books about Drakkar and his friends in the future.
- Reviewed in the United States on April 22, 2019This is not the usual type of book that I would usually listen to. But I received an Audible copy of it and said I would leave an honest review. I found myself listening to a story filled with twists and turns, good guys and nasty villians, true friendship, loyalty, and love. Young Drakkar finds himself in the middle of a battle of revenge Soon he finds his world being torn apart when he learns so much of it has been a lie. His friendship with Serenity will give him strength and lead him to the family he has always wanted.
The narrator does an excellent job of giving voice to a wide age range of characters especially teenagers. He brings these characters to life. Both the narrator and author are new to me and I highly recommend this Audible book.
- Reviewed in the United States on April 26, 2017This story had me hooked from the first chapter. I just knew there was going to be turmoil, excitement and twists. Drakkar is the son of Princess Absinthe Dragoni, who is not a favorite character of mine. However she adds part of the turmoil to the story. Drakkar has no reason not to believe what his mother tells him but soon learns that lies have been told and he needs to learn who and what he can trust. As he faces his future he learns who his enemies are and who his friends are.
Drakkar is young and while learning to deal with the teenage ups and downs he is learning to deal with feelings he has for a black haired beauty. This is a great story that will interest young adults and old ones, like me. His story will take you through h*!! and back and wring out every emotion that you can think of.
I feel that you do need to read the other two books before this one. This story will have you biting your nails and holding your breath. There were many moments that I didn't know if Drakkar would find a HEA but it was worth it in the end.
I loved this series. Great paranormal series.
I voluntarily read a copy of this book for Nerd Girl Official.
- Reviewed in the United States on January 20, 2017In Beyond the Lie, the third installment of the Dark Order of the Dragon series, Sandra Bischoff has managed to create an intriguing and exciting page turner. I must admit, I am not usually a fan of YA (I’ve read adult novels since a very young age), but I have loved Drakkar as a character since Beyond the Sun and absolutely couldn’t wait to get my hands on his book!
His story was easy relate to, even though my high school years seems like it was ages ago, and I found his eclectic ensemble of friends refreshing and vital to the story. I could have certainly done with less of his mother, but that’s just becasue she’s an evil manipulative monster to him, not because she isn’t wonderfully written.
For anyone looking for a paranormal romance that their teen can easily relate to and also enjoy the rollercoaster of emotions a tempermental vampire youth’s experiences, Beyond the Lie is perfect.
- Reviewed in the United States on October 29, 2017I absolutely love this series, Drakkar became one of my favorite characters of the whole series. Drakkar is a teenage vampire. He is trying to balance his evil mother, school, friends, and a new girl who is pushing her way into his heart, all while trying to complete an evil task that his mother has set for him. It's not so easy. I loved the chemistry between Drakkar and Serenity. I absolutely hated Absinthe. She was horrible and abusive. I don't know if I've ever hated a character as much as I hated Absinthe. This book was filled with twists and suspense. This book toys with your emotions. You definitely don't want to miss this installment!!
- Reviewed in the United States on September 10, 2017What a great story, I fell in total love with book 1 in this series and now I've finished book 3 I'm even more in love with this series, the characters, the storyline they way the author describes her fantasy world it's all fantastic.
Drake and Serenity talk about an amazing couple and both with bad parts in their past but wow Drakes past is totally screwed up but then with Absinth for a parent how could he not be screwed up, but when he finds out the real truth well that is just magical.
Great plot twist and loads of supernatural magic I couldn't put it down.
