I enjoyed the previous 3 books in the series and am glad Daniel finally got his own book. After all, I was left wondering about him as he had been paralyzed at the end of Josh and Nettie's book. So back to this really likeable family! The story follows Daniel's treatment and gives an unusual look at physical Therapy about 150 years ago. The story was sweet with no sex scenes but plenty of love. Some discussion in the book might be too frank for teens (if sheltered), but I recommend it otherwise as a sweet Western read.

Oh I thoroughly enjoyed this forth book in the McClintock series! I felt so sorry for Daniel at the end of the last book. I should have known Caroline Clemmons would give him his own book. She sent to him an angel in the form of Clara. She was spunky and confident, just what he needed to want to care again about a future. I enjoyed this storyline, so different from others and her characters are always so likeable, it's fun to follow them to their HEA. JudyE

5.0 out of 5 stars McClintock series
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on March 1, 2018
I love the McClintock family so to visit again these wonderful characters was like returning home. Daniel is not a happy chappie when he first meets Cara Roos Van Hoosan he is rude obnoxious and ignorant but guess what Cara can handle that. This story helped me understand a little of paralysis patients and how they feel frustrated and helpless, the treatment to help patients to be more independent and in some cases walk again as Cara did for Daniel and the hard work both patient carer or therapist put into there recoverery. I loved this story and found it intriguing funny and compassionate a really inspiring read. I would recommend everyone to read this series you won't be disappointed.
