The one thing I didn't like is that because of the bit of lip the case has around the front portion of the device it was pushing up my edge to edge screen protector but after I carved the corners out a bit with an exacto knife just enough to release pressure on it it's been fine. The design is sleek, slim and clean. Great corner protection with a slim design. Not bulky reveals the Apple symbol in back and has all the cut outs for every hole even ones I didn't know my tablet had! Easy installation, Great price and great quality. I would definetly buy from them again if need be.

Nice looking, solid, slim case I bought mainly to protect against scratches, not drops and it fits the bill. I like the dark/smokey silver look and this was perfect. Not a huge fan of the open circle in the back, solely to show the Apple logo (I'd rather protect that from scratches too), but I knew this existed before I bought it, so no knock on that - just a personal preference.

Others have complained about the buttons - I don't have any problem with this. When you get a case, you know you're not going to have the same tactile function would if it was bare. The side volume buttons are still easy to use. The top power button requires a tiny bit more force to activate, especially if you're holding it down to power off, but it still works exactly as I expected it to.

I have an Anker glass screen protector on along with this case. I don't have any problems with it lifting the screen protector, but I can absolutely see it happening to someone. Mine is either positioned exactly right or sized perfectly but if it were off by a hair, I can totally see it lifting. The case overlaps the front with a lip and it fights tight, so if you have something touching that, it's gonna lift.

I recently purchased an iPad because my Android tablet slid off the bed and barely hit a power strip but broke the screen. I have a Spigen case on my Samsung phone and like it; so after reading numerous product information pages for iPad cases, I purchased the Spigen Tough Armor case, even though it doesn't have a cover (which I would have preferred if I could have found one I thought was really good).

The more I read about the cases with covers, people still had problems with screens breaking. It seems to me, though I may be wrong, that those cases will only really help protect the screen in certain situations (such as when stored in a purse or brief case) but not necessarily when you are carrying the iPad in your hands and drop it or when the cover is open and it drops or hits something hard enough.

Anyway, the Spigen case is very sturdy. Yes, the buttons are hard to push; but I don't mind, since they are protected. I rated the "light weight" category as a 4 instead of 5, which is humorous to me. It's not all that light, but I also wouldn't want it to be very light given the materials that most cases use. I think the weight is very good, but I couldn't give it 5 stars as being "light weight."

I also installed a SPARIN tempered glass screen protector before putting on the case. This combination has been working well. At first, the screen protector would lift up some if I pushed the buttons on the case, but that no longer occurs.

My case has a little bump on the right side. Not sure why. It's not enough to get in the way. I only notice it if I slide my finger down the side of the case. It's not a problem to where I would knock a star off the review.

My minor quibbles are that it could probably offer better protection with only a slight increase in weight and thickness. Some of the edges (top and bottom) are a bit “harsh”, they won’t cut you, but sometimes feel like they could. Wear will probably reduce that and it’s definitely not enough for me to consider returning it or lower the rating below a 4.

My bigger quibble is with the buttons. They work fine, are reasonably easy to press, but their positioning on the angled edge along the back, make them less usable than on the bare iPad or previous case (different brand, which I replaced for being too thick and heavy, plus it was pretty worn after 2+ years of use). The buttons will take some getting used to.

Update 2021-02-14: after further examination, it appears the “harsh” edges on the top and bottom are probably mold separation marks on the TPU that weren’t buffed off properly. I put a fine grinding bit in my rotary (aka dremel) tool and spent a couple minutes (on a low speed) grinding down those small ridges. Case is notably more comfortable to hold in one hand now. Quick easy fix, and it’s possible this is not a common problem as such mold marks are typically removed before leaving the factory. I don’t know if this is a common issue or if mins simply got skipped.

Power button is a little trick to press, making screenshots a bit more challenging. No complaints about the volume buttons, just the power button.
