Texture of Intimacy: A Psy/Changeling Novella (Psy/Changeling Series) Kindle Edition

4.6 4.6 out of 5 stars 274 ratings

A PSY/CHANGELING NOVELLA from the author of Shards of Hope, Shield of Winter, and Heart of Obsidian...

New York Times bestselling author Nalini Singh’s phenomenal Psy/Changeling series continues with this sensual exploration of the searing joys and unexpected challenges of mating...

SnowDancer healer Lara knows primal ecstasy. She wakes to it every morning, skin-to-skin with the hard male body of the quiet, powerful telepath who is her mate. Lean muscle and rough heat, Walker is the only man she has ever wanted to call her own. But being mated to a man formed in the ice-cold cage of the PsyNet has its challenges.

Born into a race where emotion is a crime, Walker’s will is a creation of cold steel. Scarred by the life he has lived, the terrible choices he was forced to make, he never expected to find happiness. Now, his heart belongs to Lara and he will fight to the death to protect the bond between them…even knowing he might have been too long in the ice of the PsyNet to give her what she needs.

Before Lara and Walker can claim the wild, beautiful promise of their future, they must first face the painful shadows of the past...

Includes a preview of the PSY/CHANGELING novel Heart of Obsidian!

Walker’s and Lara’s story is beautiful. Its a wonderful HEA to Walker’s cold life in the PSY. Lara is the perfect compliment to Walker. Nalini Singh’s writing and attention is perfection

This book was so beautiful that I couldn’t put it down. I love that we finally get to see a crack in Walker’s shield, and watch him as he finds the love and understanding that he worked so hard to make sure his family got. Lara is the perfect mate for him because she is gentle, kind and understanding, as well as tough with a backbone of steel. Together they nurture those around them and shower each other with the love they need. This book is just the addition the series needed. I’m looking forward to reading more books by the author.

It's always nice to go back and visit with characters from previous books. To have the chance to learn more about them, and read about whats going on in their lives. I really enjoyed the novella, it's a nice addition to the series, and it helps the time pass until the next full length novel. If your a Psy/Changeling fan you'll enjoy the read.

Nalini Singh's Psy/Changeling series is consistently wonderful. Her characters move throughout the series and you become invested in their stories. It's like sitting down with a friend and learning about their life. Each character is a very distinct individual, there are no cookie cutter personalities.

Having read other elements of this story in a full-length novel, I found the "new" pieces useful for consolidation. The novella also provided interesting glimpsed of information that, I expect, will be elaborated in later stories.

Nalini Singh knows how to grab your attention with her books , I love her short stories about ithe different side characters but I also wish the stories were a bit longer. Her Psy/Changeling stories seem so real and the interaction with there packs are fun with adventure on the side love this.

I am a fan of Nalini Singh Psy/Changling Series. This novella fills in the story line of two main characters.

Even though it was a short story Ms. Singh can always be counted on to write a great story in the changeling series. Walker finally has his family and mate. Lara and Walker's story was wonderfully written and if you follow this series can understand why the author wrote it as a short story. It wasn't as evolved as the rest of her series but one of my favorites nonetheless.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very Good Read.

I love Nalini Singh's books. Her novellas keep me in touch with some of the characters mentioned in her previous books. She is a fantastic writer. I have preordered her next book due April 1st and can't wait to read it. If you want enjoy something different than the vampire/paranormal venues (I love these as well!) then Nalini Singh will give you what you want. Wolves, Lions, even Bear changlings will keep you entertained - throw in a bit of the Fey and what else do you need?

3.0 out of 5 stars Mignon
