Product Description

AMAZINGLY NATURAL TOOTHPASTE - With Just a Handful of Natural Ingredients

Have you ever tried to find a toothpaste without glycerin, fluoride, foaming agents, or coloring? We couldn’t find one, so we made Earthpaste — only five ingredients, and they all come from the earth! Water, Redmond Clay, Real Salt, essential oils, and xylitol. (Unsweetened Spearmint Earthpaste doesn’t have xylitol — now we’re down to four ingredients!) And Earthpaste really works! No foaming agents, no coloring, no glycerin, and no fluoride. Everything your mouth needs to feel clean, and nothing extra.

The Clay of 1000 Uses

For thousands of years, people have used clay for a variety of reasons. Over time, the practice of using clay was forgotten by most cultures, but as the holistic health and organic food movements gain momentum, people have become more open to traditional products like Redmond Clay. Since the 1970s, Redmond Clay has become a staple in households across the world.

Earthpaste began because we couldn’t find a natural toothpaste we loved for our families. We wanted a toothpaste that was as natural as possible, so we started with hydrated Redmond Clay and added Xylitol, essential oils, and Real Salt. And that’s it. Earthpaste is amazingly natural toothpaste.

Safe to Swallow!

Single Source

We own the clay deposit and control the entire process from the mine to the store shelf.

Local

The clay comes from right here in the USA, which means less miles and a smaller carbon footprint.

Solar Powered
We’ve installed enough solar panels at our Redmond, Utah location to power almost all of our operations there.

About Us:

Foaming Agents and Chemicals

Most brands of toothpaste contain foaming agents like SLS (sodium lauryl sulfate), chemicals like titanium dioxide that whiten the toothpaste but don’t benefit your teeth, or questionable ingredients like fluoride. Not Earthpaste. Each ingredient in Earthpaste is completely natural and serves a specific purpose to help you achieve a clean, healthy mouth. Dentists are frequently impressed with the cleanliness of teeth. Earthpaste is toothpaste unlike any other you’ve experienced — you’ll see the difference on your brush and feel the difference in your mouth.

Why we do what we do…

At Redmond, we’re passionate about wellness and believe nature has it right with products and people. Real products are rarely the idealized image of perfection that many have been led to believe. As with products, so with people. We believe people have a certain beauty born not of idealized image, but of natural uniqueness. We embrace real, and believe it to be the essence of life and the source of wellness of mind and body. This belief was the foundation upon which we’ve built the Redmond family of brands, including Real Salt, Earthpaste, and Redmond Clay.

Redmond as an Organization

By most standards, Redmond is a very different organization. In today’s business world, many companies exist around the idea that profit is the sole reason for existence, and that employees are a means to that end. By contrast, Redmond’s philosophy is that profit is the means, but that the end goal is elevating the human experience for both customers and employees. This is evident in Redmond’s business practices, its commitment to improving the community, and its promise to provide continual growth opportunities for its employees.

On my 4th tube!
I love this stuff! I use this brands electrolytes so I decided to try the toothpaste. It takes a few days to get used to- it doesn’t foam up like normal toothpaste but it leaves your mouth SO CLEAN. I’ve used a full tube of cinnamon and am almost done with wintergreen, I also got my son the kids version. I love it and will be trying another flavor next!

This is the only toothpaste I've ever bothered to review, but I'm taking the time to do so because it's that good. Impressed by the very clean/pure ingredient list, I decided to give EarthPaste a try. WOW!! My teeth feel like they've just been through a professional cleaning--twice a day--every day. They literally have never felt so squeaky clean. They seem whiter, too. I'm looking forward to my next checkup and the feedback I'll get from my dentist.

This is one of very few natural toothpastes that is glycerin-free. This is a good thing! Glycerin may leave a fine coating on the teeth which prevents the enamel from remineralizing. One downside is that Earthpaste isn't "foamy," so you find yourself using more. Also, the tube can be a bit tough to squeeze as you get down to the bottom. But as good as it is in every other way, these two complaints are minor.

Yes, Earthpaste contains bentonite clay, and yes, bentonite clay contains minute particulates of lead, along with numerous other naturally-occuring minerals. Does this concern me? No, I'm not ingesting the product. In fact, some of the healthiest people in the organic and whole foods world EAT bentonite clay for it's powerful cleansing and detoxing properties. Some "in the know" argue that these particulates, even when ingested, are of a molecular consistency which is not absorbed into the bloodstream. If, however, this doesn't feel right for you, continue your search for the one that DOES feel right. I truly believe in following one's gut instinct on things, and this will differ from person to person.

The cinnamon is my favorite because it's mild. The flavor was unusual at first, but it quickly grew on me, and now I much prefer it to "minty" toothpastes. I haven't tried wintermint, but the peppermint is extremely strong, so much so that I had to rinse my mouth out about 10 times (literally) to get the flavor diluted afterwards. Too much for me. But for those who love peppermint, they may find that flavor very refreshing.

I have been using natural toothpastes for years and the last time I went to the dentist my hygienist said my teeth were so clean they weren't going to call the dentist in to look them over (too bad they still charged me). I opted for natural toothpaste years ago because the 'pro health' is heavily marketed in its home town and it was causing sores in my mouth. I was also finding it difficult to brush for a full two minutes because pastes were too foamy and filled my mouth up too quickly or the 'flavors' were too intense to tolerate for long. It wasn't till after I switched that I learned about all the chemicals and environmental aspects of regular toothpastes that weren't good so that only solidified my decision to switch. That being said, if you are new to natural toothpaste this one probably shouldn't be your first since it is a far cry from what you find in the grocers and might make the transition rough.

That being said, I loved the natural toothpaste I was using before.

Then I became sensitive to coconut and had to start looking for a new toothpaste. I was worried because gingivitis runs in my family and some toothpastes are not effective for me and a lot of them have coconut by-products. (avoiding coconut is hard-its everywhere!) so it was really tough at first, then someone suggested this paste. It really works! I sometimes use baking soda to whiten my teeth but have to be careful because it is so abrasive but not with this stuff, the clay is so gentle it gives my teeth that fresh from the dentist polished look! Now to be fair, this only happens when I commit to using it regularly and brush for the full two minutes ( I have another toothpaste I use sometimes when I am feeling frisky for more flavor- also coconut free). There is zero foaming and a very light mint taste. It has a tan/brown color to it but not in an off-putting way so no worries there. I do wish it were cheaper though since it is made with clay which is not an expensive product, but I am not going to start making my own because 'ain't nobody got time for that' so for now I will buy this. So happy to have this product!

Me ha encantado. ES natural no contiene ningún elemento artificial y tiene buen poder de limpieza. No hace tanta espuma ni limpia tan bien como un dentífrico químico pero si desempeña muy bien dentro de los dentífricos naturales.

    Sabor suave.
